Hi,

I'm back online after about a month (crashed disk, lost mail etc).

Just so parents see both sides of NAET. Please see:

http://www.quackwatch.com/01QuackeryRelatedTopics/Tests/ak.html

and

http://www.chirobase.org/06DD/naet.html

NAET has nothing to do with anything on that site. It is an

Allergy Elimination Technique. I have seen absolute proof

that it does work, on my daughter, 2 of my friends children

and my one friends husband who was a severe ashmatic with

cat allergy. He now wants then to get a cat for a pet. This

is not trickery or in the mind. It's such a shame that

people are so closed minded. The cure can be staring them

in the face, but they just can't except it, maybe it seems

to good to be true. Just imagine though, if no one believed

in GOD or in Miracles. It would be a sad world, with no

hope. I believe that when GOD put us on this earth he

filled our bodies with knowledge. With that he gave us

control over our lives. We have the knowledge to heal our

bodies, it is all inside of us. These are just my beliefs,

it just get frustrating when you find something amazing

that you want to share with the whole world and so many

people roll their eyes or ridicule. It's disheartening.

Thank Goodness we live in this day and age where mothers

are no longer blamed for their children autism, we are not

considered refrigerator moms and are kids are not just

institutionalized with no hope. I have to stay positive

though and remember that Sheila is my priority and I am

doing something that will make her better, I truly believe

that!

I forgot to say that I know I am not being taken advantage

of because Sheila's practicioner is seeing her Pro Bono,

since we are stuggling with 4 children and only my husband

working. He has a great heart and wants to help her, and

other children, get well. It's not about money, it's about

love.

It doesn't stand for Nambudripad's Alergy Elimination Technique?

I didn't say anything about God, miracles, refrigerator moms,

or anything else you mention. We're all here because our

children are our priority. I gave the websites so that parents

can read all the views and make an informed decision. If

they still want to use NAET, at least they have all the info.

Sorry that you have a problem with that.

Yes it does stand for Nambudripad's Allergy Ellimination

Technique. I think all parents should make informed choices

and I just wanted to share my experiance with something

that I believe is helping her greatly. The Quack site was

not information it was bashing. If you were sick and tried

NAET and it made you better, you would believe. If you

tried it and it did nothing, you would not believe. If you

didn't try it or have any experiance with it than you do

not have any information to give on the subject. I have

nothing to gain by putting my opion out to others to open

myself up to be critized. I just want to share my

experience with others hoping to maybe help by sharing my

story. It really hurts to be attacked. If anyone wants

information about my experiance with NAET please email me

privately and I will explain it from my knowledge of how it

is working for my daughter and 2 of my friends who are also

doing it. I do not want to keep posting about something

that make everyone so uncomfortable.

For the record no one attacked you. And people have more information.

This is a good thing, right?

Gregg, I think that what Jenna is trying to say is that you can read

alot of positive/negative on every subject, but personal experience is

what really sways the mind. I have heard nothing but good about NAET. I

have heard no negative comments about it's use by anyone that has

actually used it. For me, this means that it is something I may want to

try. I have asked around trying to find someone that has had a bad

experience and I have yet to find one. I have read good and bad about

just about every treatment that is out there. I appreciate people that

give their personal experience as opposed to literature. This is how I

decide what I do and do not want to try. This is the reason for these

groups we join. Otherwise we could just read everything on the web and

never really know what works for people and what doesn't. The only

personal experience we would know would be our own.

Gregg, my Allie is 11, and we have been through hoops with treatments

and should and should not tries. That is the reason why I will only try

things that are new after other people give me their opinions. I think

many of us have found that things like quackwatch dont really help

because they are just an opinion of someone that does not have an

autistic child and has never tried it on an autistic child. They just

give the other side but they dont back it up with parents opinions.

Anymore, parent opinions are the only thing I trust. They have been

there and done that. Doctors say vaccines dont hurt children. I dont

agree. There is too much evidence to the contrary. They say the gf/cf

diet does not help. My daughter is living proof that it does. If I had

read doc's opinions instead of parent opinions, I would be in the same

spot I was 8 years ago. It is very hard to get feelings and emotions

out on paper without people inflecting their own emotions into them.

Know what I mean???

It does seem like for every new treatment their is a differing opinion

that can be found. I thank you for posting the quackwatch. I just wish

there was parent backup to it.

My best to you and yours,

cindi
