You go, girl. It’s hard work, but it feels good to do

everything in your power to provide a good situation for your kid. I also

thought of the residential thing…more than once. My daughter is 15 and it

seems like the worst times might be behind us now. Or should I say, we’ll

have ‘different’ challenges now…but at least she’s not

physically aggressive anymore and actually seems to be maturing some. Yay!

Re: I

have a question

I hadn't heard of any either, but someone said that

there were a few

in central and upper bucks county, but I can't

seem to find anything

on that. Residential is not an option,

although i will admit, I did

think about it. I just couldn't part with my

son. He is a large

handful, and his sisters get a lack of attention

because of it, but I

couldn't send him away, I would feel like I was

punishing him. As

some of you know, its not easy raising a child

with Asperger's and

ADHD on your own. But I will cope. I

just don't want him to get lost

in the cracks of the Philadelphia School

System. He is smart and high

functioning, and the school he is in doesn't have

the resources he

needs. I am going to battle with the school

district soon, and I just

wanted some names of possible schools I could try

for. Thank you.
