Guest guest
(((Carissa)))) Sounds like a rough week with a very special 'milestone' thrown in with it. Losing a loved one never gets 'easier' it just changes in my opinion. Our greatest tribute to our loved ones is our memories....seems you have those in abundance. Have you ever thought of taking up her traditions in her memory? Would be your own special way of keeping her in your heart Good luck with the probe... that sound tough on a young kiddo hmmmmm take a Mommy moment and do something 'good' for yourself this week! Guest guest
Carissa, ~tight hug~ It sounds like you are really going through it right now… You and your family are in my prayers… ~another hug~ Rabecca -----Original Message----- From: Carissa LovingMomTo3Boys Sent: Monday, April 05, 2004 1:56 PM To: you-are-my-sunshine Subject: Today I am sad and depressed Not that the last two weeks of my life have been HELL! Today is the 12th anniversary of my grandmothers death. Although she has been gone this long I still grieve for her. She was like a second mother to me and we were a very close knit family. I miss the holidays when she would make everything from scratch. I miss birthdays when she would make our very favorite meals. Most of all I miss her and her birthday will fall on April 22nd. Today I kept all three of the boys home from school and they are driving me crazy, lol. still is feeling the last of the stomach flu, but was well enough to go gets his eye appointment finished. Poor little man has to wear glasses all the time now. UGH, that's gonna be a chore to do. Especially with his sensory issues. He hates the way they sit on the bridge of his nose. Optometrist said don't push him to wear them all the time, but it is necessary for him to. His eyes have gotten worse over the course of the year, but states he can see just fine. If he could see just fine, he wouldn't have failed his vision test to miserably. Cody cried most of the time we were there. I don't know if it's cause he isn't feeling good or if it was cause he was tired. I went to Target last night and used a gift card to get him some training underwear. They didn't have the vinyl covers, so I am watching him closely and making him sit on the potty frequently. He's already pissed on the floor once, lol. I want to keep him in pull-ups, but this will be much easier cause I can just wash them and dry them and not have to worry about spending umpteen million dollars on pull-ups. Kenny is pretty much sick with the cold. He has been coughing quite a bit lately and although he has asthma, he's been feeling quite crappy. I was sure he'd get up in the middle of the night to come into my bed last night, but he didn't. I even shaved his head this morning, so no more curls, lol. He wouldn't let me put it in blocks, so I said, rubber bands or bald and he chose bald, LOL. When we were at Target last night, the boys got to pick out new toys on their gift cards as well. The gift cards were late christmas presents from my grandparents. Better late then never I guess, lol. The boys will definately go back to school tomorrow and then Wednesday morning my mom will come over to take and Cody to school. I have to take Kenny into the hospital early morning and stay for 24 hours because they are doing a PH Probe on him. Kenny is constantly losing his voice and having laryngitis. They are going to rule out to see if the GERD might be causing this to happen. It seems he has laryngitis 24/7. I did yard sale with my dad over the weekend at the flea market and only made $5. It sucks cause I was hoping to get rid of lots more. So much stuff in this apartment that I need to get rid of because we don't need it anymore. I already have one box about to be shipped out to a friend of mine because her son could use the clothes. Then another friend bought my crib and another friend bought my toddler bed! So I will have at least three big things out of the way. I still have lots of baby clothes and just miscellaneous stuff to get rid of. It's all just clutter now! Anyway, I've rambled on enough. Guest guest
I have many traditions in her memory! I always make sure we have Lasagna every Christmas Eve and have family open gifts that same night! Then on birthdays I always make family members their very favorite meals! My grandma always did these things for us! It's how I keep her memory alive! The probe went well! He was such a trooper and was glad to go home. Guest guest
Thank you, Rabecca. I am still in a funk, but not as bad. My oldest is sick now and noone is giving any answers. We had a hard time with him getting x-rays last night, he doesn't like taking his pants off. He's very uncomfortable like that. Carissa April is National Autism Awareness Month.
