I've asked already about that, but nobody answered me and this is important question for me.

I have cold penis often - it's cold when it's soft, especially on the glans. I think it's due to poor blood circulation but I am not really sure if I can connect it with taking of SSRI's, because I am afraid that it can be caused by some kind of blood vessel disease or sth.

Do you experience the same thing?]

Good question. I have been off zoloft for about a year and have not

gained full use yet. Going to a urologist next week. I also wondered

if a enlarged prostate would inhibit the blood flflow.

Good post here talk about possible low testosterone level too.

I will post after my visit.

While I was on Fluvoxamin (SSRI) my blood circulatin was really bad.

My hands and both my feet were always cold and as soon as I lifted

them for a short time, all the blood went out of them. Also, in

winter, I was constantly freezing. Now that I'm off it, I'm way

better. I'm positive that SSRIs also affect the blood circulation in

the penis.

Maybe you could try gingko biloba, it is said to improve blood

circulation. I read that for some people it could reverse PSSD, but it

did not work for me that way.

I have noticed the same thing....I'm in a same sex relationship so I

have the benefit of comparing....When mine is cold I sometimes check to

see if his is cold and it is...in the same place on the head and

sometimes the shaft and he doesn't have our problem and has never taken

SSRI's. I hope this helped.

  • 1 month later...

Urologist prescribed viagra and ll. It had limited success. Still

only 75% effective. Better than nothing I guess.

I have only tried the viagra. Will be trying Levetra next.

Going back in a couple of weeks for a ultra sound to check blood

flow. All other test results show normanl. Including testostorone.

Who knows how long this will last...It has already been a year+

since I last took Zoloft!

You may want to look at both Total Testosterone and Free Testosterone. What can actually be used in the body is free T. Some may show normal Total level, but the free T might be on the low side, or below average.

Zoloft, Paxil, etc. could cause any amount of damage to genitals. DO NOT USE THEM. Doctors don't have a clue, nor do they care!!!!!Steve wrote: You may want to look at both Total Testosterone and Free Testosterone. What can actually be used in the body is free T. All sorts of damage has been done to us by using this garbage. At least the testosterone can be measured and treated to some degree. Most of the damage can not be measured or addressed.Steve wrote: You may want to look at both Total Testosterone and Free Testosterone. What can actually be used in the body is free T.
