Guest guest
Keep in mind, for what it is worth, that it is worth megabucks to the company to make sure that each person buys their own $300 pump and never shares with anyone else. Then, of course, you have to think -- if viruses can pass thru it so easily, each mother should have a new pump for each of her babies. For that matter, perhaps she should get a new one periodically for her baby just in case there are viruses in the pump. Sounds as though this pump is very dangerous.... (Not entirely tongue in cheek) Jan Barger Re: sterilizing the PNS. My understanding was that the diaphragm is not impermeable and that milk residue was found INSIDE the pump itself once it was cracked open. I was also told that viruses could easily pass through this diaphragm so sterilizing it is not really helpful. Heard this years ago from medela salesperson soon after the PNS came out. Anyone else also get this information? Becky , IBCLC Milky Way La Plata, MD www.milkywaybreastfeeding.com
