Guest guest
I also finished my AL5 today but I must say it wasn't pretty.....I didn't get through the entire workout, stretched in between and did my own 8 count, I couldn't keep up with the tape but I really concentrated on form. My muscles were shaking so I guess it worked. All I can say is I hope to do better next week, and I am not going to beat myself up over what I couldn't do....instead trying to stay positive about doing what I could while concentrating on form. Hugs, Phyllis Phyliss, You're right ...no beating of oneself up allowed on the AL5 challenge! When I did it last Saturday I had to slow things down and really modify in order to keep good form. Sometimes I get up mid-floor work, pause the tape and throw some punches and kicks just to limber up my body and give my back and knees a break. :-) As Deb has said: " Fitness is a journey and it begins with the first step. Guest guest
> My muscles were shaking so I guess it worked. Well, Phyllis, you said exactly what I was going to say....I did it, but is wasn't pretty...LOL! My goal is to get through the workout at some point in time withoug my legs shaking uncontrollably at the end! That last ab exercise where you put your leg up with the toe higher than the knee and pull it into your chest....my legs were shaking so bad I could hardly hold my leg up...LOL! But, I figure there's nothing to do but improve I started to get discouraged, too, at first...but then I remembered that the reason I was doing this challenge was because this is the one area I am really weak in and this floorwork will only help me get better in that area. So, you are right...be proud of what you did do (not what you couldn't do) and look forward to the improvement we will see in the coming weeks Hey, one week down....only 10 more to go! On second thought, maybe we shouldn't think of it like that...LOL!

Guest guest
Ok so I'm not off to the greatest start on this challenge...ugh... I always work out in the morning before work but today I had to pump up my tire instead...grrr......so now I have to try and make time to do it tonight instead. The worst part is I have screws in at least two of my tires...wow isn't that fun. My husband just did the brakes on my car on the 7th and guess what....I had a screw in my tire then too....so that makes three screws in three tires....anyone seeing a pattern here. Needless to say I will be checking tire #4 to see what mysteries it holds. (Just in case you're wondering...I don't drive through construction sites LOL!! I live four miles from work...good roads...there's no logical explanation for this!) Sorry to vent here but I am so tired of dealing with this!! I'm pretty sure it's my brother in-law. He has some mental problems and has decided that I am the root of all evil. Anyone who knows me would know that's not possible...I'm just not a hateful person. I already have caller id on my phone, have his phone number blocked so he can't call and I have had NO CONTACT with him whatsoever in like six months...and still he persists....so today I did it...I took control back and I called the Sheriff....tonight they are coming by the house to take pictures of the tires and start a report...yes I got chastised when I called for not calling sooner.. but hey...he's family...and I can't actually PROVE he's doing it. Ok so back to the topic...tonight...while I'm waiting for the Sheriff I plan to put all my aggression, agravation, irritation and yes..even fear...into my workout...and get it DONE. He will not interfere with my Tae-Bo! LOL!!! Dawn You know what...I'm really not a needy person who is always making excuses...I'm a very independent go-getter....really I am....I just married into the WRONG family LOL! My poor husband...he's the only normal one.

Well, I'm done w/ my Advance workout..Now, in all honesty I have to say in the past when It gets to the floor work, I usually to part of the butt work and then FFWD to the abs stuff..tonight, I did the entire floor work and only because I imagined everyone else struggling thru their own floor work too ..I did stop and rest or stretch out a few times..but I felt pretty proud of doing the whole thing..for those of you who have this tape you will recall there is also that " fun " game of laying down 6 cards and picking them up 1x1 and putting them back down..Man, I thought my legs would walk right off my body they were burning soo bad, but it hurt soo good...anyways, one day of the challenge done!!! I hope that now that you've involved the police..you'll figure out who's doing this to your tires and they will stop! Good luck doing your workout tonight! You've got LOTS of aggravation to get out...so I'm sure you'll be cussing up a storm...LOL! who knows on Wednesdays she's gonna have to get her workouts done EARLY...otherwise she'll procrastinate all day

Guest guest
<< , How did it go? >> Well Kathy, I hate to admit it, but it didn't go well. I am having a major low energy day. Granted, AL5 is never easy - far from it - but I've never had this much of a struggle to get through it. In fact, I only did about 40 minutes total. It just felt like my legs were made of lead. The cardio felt way too fast today too. It just didn't click for me today, but I'm not quitting. Hopefully next week will be better.

I also stretched during the end of the tape, after the floorwork.....all in all, good workout for me but I am feeling it tonight....so I guess I only did the floorwork part at my own pace....it worked for me. Guest guest
, you know you don't HAVE to do al5 on Wednesday. Sometime our bodies need rest or a lighter day and maybe today needed to be a light day.
