Thanks, Dee. This is really interesting. What sort of conditions have you

tried this product with? Have you found consistent success in treatment?

1.5 oz and 3.5 oz tubes.  DermaScience will only sell to doctor's offices, so

they wouldn't sell any to me.  However, they did tell me that Mercy Surgical

Dressings was a distributor of Medihoney who would sell to individuals.

is $26.15 for a 1.5 oz tube of the 100% honey.  However, I mentioned that I am

an IBCLC in private practice and they said that my price for tubes I would

re-sell would only be $17.15, plus a flat shipping rate of $6.95 no matter the

size of the order.  There is no minimum order size--I could have ordered just

one tube if I had wanted to.  I placed my order on Monday, May 17 and it

arrived on Wednesday, May 19.  Terrific!  Because the honey has been

sterilized, it never spoils.  However, FDA rules require that an expiration

date of 3 or 4 years be marked on the packaging.  (Gotta love the FDA and it's

consumer-friendly rules and decisions!)

I

have been using this product w/ moms with great healing success. I highly recommend

it as long as mom is not allergic/sensitive to bee products/honey.

Is thrush a concern, since thrush thrives on sugar or have you found that thrush

is not an issue when using medihoney (or even that it discourages/helps to cure

thrush)?
