hey you stole my measurements as well as my weight

now you are stealing my plateau!!!

unfortunately I'm height challenged at 5'2 " so these measurements can be even

more disturbing than your 5'9 " .

Seriously, genetics may be against you as it has been for me

I have tried every combination of eating and exercise and stil weigh the same

to the point where I have just said

*THE HELL WITH IT*

and now eat whenever and whatever for energy and nutrition and enjoyment

without guilt

ask for her hammer and smash that scale to bits and enjoy how exercise

makes you feel and know you are a healthier person than you would be without

it

We MUST be long lost sisters (BTW my middle name is Jean). I have a 38-39 inch

bust and 37 inch hips. (which does not look natural with my body) So I Know

EXACTLY where you are coming from.

Please don't get discouraged, and remember that some women have surgery to have

a bust our size (which too will sag soon).

This is my plan. I am going to do the best I can with my fitness and eating and

look for the smallest of improvements and I am coming up with a timeframe and

plan to pay for a breast reduction. I know everyone else will hate me for even

reccomending this.....but If you have ben seriously considering it for years and

if you have a low self esteem because of it. And I know you must experience some

of the physical discomfort like I do. THEN if you have insurance it is very

likely you can find a way for them to cover the costs. But my advice would be to

say ok I will do it after so many months/ or a year and a half of Taebo AND

weight training.

Since I have started weight training, my bust really does have a bit more

natural support and I lost a quick inch of my hips. YEAH!!!!

But of course the important thing to remember is that no matter what your family

looks like you need to accept you for who you are and love yourself flaws, no

flaws. Otherwise no exercise regime or surgery will make you feel better.

That's the best approach, Doris. You cannot lose (except pounds, inches,

....) if you hang in there and keep exercising. You can only win.

I can totally relate to what you are feeling. First of all, you need

to hang in there with us and because you WILL see results.

Just keep on going with it. I am actually a person who hasn't seen

any results, but it is my own fault. I have not been committed. I

believe in and Tae-Bo with all my heart. I just have other

motivational issues.

I would suggest doing a couple of things. First of all, at what end

of the WW point range are you eating? If you are eating at the low

end of the point range, I would suggest trying out the high end for

awhile, or at least vary it throughout the week. Sometimes, we

actually need MORE food to help us lose weight because our body goes

into starvation mode and holds on to all the fuel we give it when we

cut back on our eating.

Second, and I know this is a difficult thing to do, try to say at

least three positive things about yourself every day. Say more if

you can! The more you say positive things about yourself, the more

you believe them. It's even more beneficial if you say things out

loud and in front of a mirror.

Finally, I want to tell you that 5'9 " and 165 pounds does not sound

huge at all. I know that hearing that doesn't help when you are

feeling the way you do, but I hope you will cut yourself some slack.

Keep talking to us during this time. We are here for you.

I am sorry you are having such a crappy day :( I could totally

relate to everything you were saying! I have had many days exactly

like that......wishing I had any body other than the one I had,

thinking of all the possible ways I could get that body, running to

the drugstore or GNC to pick up the latest diet craze....You name it,

I've done it! So, I understand how you feel! The changes aren't

going to happen overnight.....it's taken me years and years of self-

hatred to get to the point where I can genuinely look at myself in

the mirror and like what I see looking back at me :) The first thing

you have to start trying to do (and I know this is really difficult)

is to realize that you are more than how much you weigh. Who you are

as a person has nothing to do with how much you weigh. If you can

take the focus away from the weight loss for a little bit and really

try to focus on the other benefits that you get from tae-bo...how

much better you feel, how much stronger it makes you, what you are

doing for your body, etc....that's when all the physical changes

really

started happening for me. I know it is so easy to want to try the

quick fix, the magic pill....but believe me when I say that those

never work. I've been there and done that and have always, always

gained any weight that I lost right back plus more! The key is to do

some form of exercise in moderation and to do it consistently and to

eat a healthy, balanced diet! You said you are following WW....and

somebody mentioned varying the points that you eat every day and

that's a great idea! When I was following WW, I consistently ate at

the top end of my point range (even over some days) and I still lost

weight!

Anyway, I just wanted you to know that I understand how frustrating

it can be to not see the physical results right away. But, I

guarantee you that if you keep doing tae-bo and keep working your

will and your spirit....you WILL see results! It may not happen as

quickly as you would like for it to happen, but if you stick with

it...the physical changes will fall into place! Come here and vent

anytime! It really does help to realize that you are not alone in

what you are feeling and that other people understand where you are

cause we have been there, too! Hang in there, Jean! I hope the day

has gotten better for you :)

who is the same height as you and weighs between 150 and 155 lbs so

you might not have as much to lose as you think :)
