Guest guest
Actually, I didnt attack your intentions and character first. The only attack or negative thing i said was that you probably joined this forum because you saw the word " sex " -- at the END of my email. Now i am related to Karl Rove?? That's pretty funny, who is attacking whom here? You started your email by threatning to sue if you werent removed, i think that pretty much sums up your intent--you state it yourself!!! You would go to THAT much trouble, when on our group home page REMOVING YOURSELF is just a click away. On this site there are so many discussions on hormome replacement therapy, herbal treatments, medical tests and results, SO much more than just complaining. From personal experience AND LEGAL, most of us here have been treated like head cases by doctors for even suggesting we have anything wrong or that SSRI's are the cause. I took paxil for a year and low and behold, i couldnt even achieve orgasm from masturbation!! I think that comes under the category of SEVERE. My symptoms diminished after cessitation, only to return after a few years on Ultracet, which i would have NEVER taken if i had known it affected serotonin and is essentially an SSRI. Its not in my head that it is difficult to orgasm, i have diminised libido and less feeling in my vagina.I have been duped by the same type of med twice. I think you are judgemental and instead of helping you are only hurting. You CLAIM to have gotten better, yet you arent sharing what supplements, therapies etc to get there--essentially you are living up to your own complaint--we are here to share experiences and treatments--you only complain about complaining and cast doubt on the validity of the site. So exactly what are you saying in your statement that " virtually only those people with sexual side effects go to this website " etc. etc., WHO EXACTLY do you think this is for?? I think its pretty darn clear on the introductory page what this site is about. This is not the site for cheerleaders for SSRI's, pharmaceutical companies have their own sites for that--to tout their " wonderful " medicine. Your first post calls this site " bizarre " and then you cast doubt on the validity of our claims of dysfunction, how is that not equally " hurtful " ?? Vornan does a wonderful job of moderation here--it is a balance between " complaints " and " suggestions " for treatments and remedies. The " complaint " is not being taken seriously enough by the medical field, therefore there is no easy or accepted standard medical treatment for our malady. No one would pick sexual dysfunction as a side effect, and no one likes to be treated like they are " imagining things " when their sex life goes from wonderful to non-existant. Let me take a second to let you know something disturbing. When i withdrew from Paxil (years ago), i had horrible side effects from the abrupt cessitation--i went to the doctor several times, only to have him dismiss my complaints and say " there are no withdrawal effects from SSRI's " . NOW, after years, it is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED that discontinuation of Paxil has to go slowly as to not cause the very withdrawal effects i had complained about. My point is this: we are guinea pigs taking things that doctors DONT KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT, and the sexual side effects will eventually be recognized, just like abrupt withdrawal finally got " admitted " . This site is specifically good for that recognition--that if we collectively " complain " we might actually be taken seriously-- eventually. The pharmaceutical companies want to sweep this kind of thing under the rug for as long as possible--to get as many pills sold as possible before admitting the negative effects and the word getting out. Everyone's experience is unique here, and just because you had a rosy outcome does not give you the right to threaten us, call us bizarre, and discount the relevance of OUR INDIVIDUAL experiences. We dont need more people like you. Good for you that you are OK now, either share your miraculous recovery or QUIT COMPLAINING about COMPLAINING and direct yourself immediately to the group page and REMOVE YOURSELF. GOOD RIDDANCE. GOODBYE. Karl Rove. Nice. I checked with my mom, and she is pretty much sure we arent related to him. Too bad, maybe if he took Paxil, he might join here and get some momentum going, using all that shady, horrible political clout to get us some recognition. lisa --- Philip wrote: > Are you any relation to Karl Rove?
