Guest guest
Hi Wayne, Dexedrine increases levels of dopamine and noradrenaline by inhibiting their reuptake. These two neurotranmitters are lowered by SSRIs. Guest guest
Thanks Vornan, that's what I thought....if this is my desired result, its a good thing, isn't it? It sure FEELS like it! ;-) Wayne > > > > Hey Vornan???? > > > > I just re-read what you wrote the other day about dexadrine and > now > > I'm confused as heck...this is what confuses me now: > > > > " That's very interesting about the dexedrine. Guest guest
This sounds really interesting. How bad are the side-effects of Dexadrine? I'm really thinking about giving it a try. Vornan you wrote: " Dexedrine increases levels of dopamine and noradrenaline by inhibiting their reuptake. These two neurotranmitters are lowered by SSRIs. " It seems like Dexadrine is able to reverse (some of) the damage SSRIs have caused. Since SSRIs disrupt the chemistry balance of our brains for a long time if not permanently, couldn't this be true for Dexadrine, too? That'd be great. @Wayne: Thank you very much for your contribution. Enjoy the side-effects of Dexadrine and the good weather (you're based in Hawaii, right?) ;-) > > > > > > Hey Vornan???? > > > > > > I just re-read what you wrote the other day about dexadrine and > > now > > > I'm confused as heck...this is what confuses me now: > > > > > > " That's very interesting about the dexedrine. Guest guest
Right teephos. Hawaii has been my home for 17 years and I have no plans on ever leaving. Dexadrine really IS doing a great job for what I originally started taking it for and the sexual side effects, since I was on the same anti-d as Vornan (Celexa), is so much a pleasant surprise! Remember that it IS a stimulant in it's pure definition. So if anyone has cardiovascular problems, I'd advise not taking it. But, for sex, I have NO complaints and luckily, I don't have any cardiovascular troubles (yet-God willing EVER!). Aloha for now, Wayne > > > > > > > > Hey Vornan???? > > > > > > > > I just re-read what you wrote the other day about dexadrine and > > > now > > > > I'm confused as heck...this is what confuses me now: > > > > > > > > " That's very interesting about the dexedrine. Guest guest
Seems like Dexadrine's pretty potent. One thing I don't get though. For a short time, I was on Ritalin. It absolutely killed my libido. Is it possible that although it's almost identical chemically, it's effect on libido is the exact opposite of Dexadrin? Hawaii is definitely great. Been to Maui for 6 days, and didn't want to leave. ;-) > > Right teephos. Guest guest
Hi teephos, Yes that's very well possible. They are like a key for a lock. Your front door key may look very similar to mine, but it won't fit! JR --- teephos wrote: I was on Ritalin. It absolutely > killed my libido. Guest guest
@Vornan: I took Ritalin after being on SSRIs. It was really just a few weeks ago. The tiny little bit of libido I've regained after discontinuing Luvoxal, I immediately lost when I started with Ritalin. I've read somewhere that libido may only be afflicted if you're add. I don't know. Doesn't make sense to me, but who knows? I am add by the way (but not severe). @Wayne: Apart from different individual reactions, do you think that Ritalin and Dexadril might actually generally differ in what they're doing to our libido? > > I was on Ritalin. Guest guest
My husband takes Adderall (basically extended release Ritalin). No effect on his libido which has always been strong, even through the SSRI causing his ED.teephos wrote: @Vornan: I took Ritalin after being on SSRIs. It was really just a fewweeks ago.
