Perhaps we should get some kind of PSSD dating service??? I mean this issue

really fucks up

dating or finding a mate.... I mean I got some sexyness going, and other things

going as

well, but how do you break the news to someone " hey franchesca, could we talk,

there is this

thing that happened and... " you know what I mean???

Human beings live for two purposes...survival and replication. Since psychiatric drugs / PSSD have inhibited both of those severely, I'm not even sure why you'd want to date. I know I have no motivation to date because I cannot have sex. However, a PSSD dating service can serve a purpose as a joke. Ladies...come to our site and meet guys who can't get it up...jules_piccolo wrote: Perhaps we should get some kind of PSSD dating service??? I mean this issue really fucks

That's actually not a bad idea. That would probably work best in the

new forum IMO because of how it's organized. There are hundreds of

members on this board, and I'm sure many of us are single. Chances are

there are folks suffering from PSSD in everyone's " neighborhood " . Plus

we all deserve a companion or even just a friend who understands, to

take the pressure off a bit.

I currently have a g/f who is unaware of my PSSD just yet. So who

knows how she'll react. I'm always open to meeting others with my

condition.

It's good you still have some " sexyness going " ...lol

I like you way of thinking. Intimacy is important. It keeps you connected. If a partner is having ED or loss of libido than the other half needs to be understaning and know there is a need for change. However - it is nice to read what you said about pleasing the other person and realizing that they may have changed and don't have the need but the other person has the same needs as they always did.

This is what I think about. My husband of 1 month has a huge loss of libido and ED from an SSRI. He is off 5 weeks. We both expected him to be back to himself (very sexual man) on day 1 off the meds (Lexapro 20mgg for 4 months) but here we are 5 1/2 weeks later and NO change. Hoopefully he will regain all he has lost but I don't know what the chances are for that. Shouldn't it have been back already. It's hard beause our relationship is so new. I wish he would think like you. Even if he doesn't ge much pleasure - please the other person. That is so important and says a lot. Also like you said, you can be intiamate in other ways. You're a wise person. It's not all about sex. Intimacy can be shared in lots of ways. I hope I can find a way of encouraging that - it would be so appreciated!
