I would have been screaming my head off. I am glad it didn't happen right before your trip though. You will not lose your fitness in the few days it takes to recover. I am so happy they were only baby spiders. Yuck! Elena

Joya, I would have had a heart attack and died right on the spot!!! I am so sorry this happened to you and I hope you recover quickly! I know it stinks to not be able to workout, but try not to be too hard on yourself! One week off of exercise is not going to do any damage! In fact, it may help you! I have heard " fitness experts " say that you should take a week off every few months to give your body a chance to rest and rebuild. So don't worry. Your body will appreciate the time off! I hope you have a wonderful trip!!

Guest guest
Well I have been spent the last three days in a zombie state. Sunday afternoon I was walking out back in the fields and I must have stept in a nest because all of a sudden I felt this piercing pain and looked down at my foot (which was in a sandal because it was only a brief go-out to pee thing) and there were two baby (thank goodness...I can't imagine what would have happened had it been the mommy) TARANTULAS who had taken a nip at me. It hurt like hell, so natch I whooshed them off and ran back to the house so I could put my foot in the pool. Well, it seems that the number one thing you are not supposed to do after a spider bites you is run and get the---blood circulating...at any rate my foot swelled and look like the cartoon feet in the Flinstones.....itching and pain....and anti-histamines and anti-inflammatory meds....hence the zombie state....and on my back as the dr. Said to stay off the foot...of course right when I am really into my walking and Tae Bo and finally seeing a teeny result. It is about half way down now and I am hoping it will be back to normal tomorrow and maybe I can start exercising again on this weekend. And THAT has been my week I had so much to get done this week too...trying to do things organized so I don't get all tense for the trip (Spain and Paris the 30th). I can't even balance my check book cause my brain is in such a fog. I had lost five pounds too but have been so lazy it probably is all back now. Well, I should thank my lucky stars this is not the week we are leaving because who knows how long it will take to completely heal and at least this way it gives me a few more days. So if I don't manage to get back to you all...happy Tae-Boeing and see you in late October Joya
