Guest guest
Well- I tried to get the builder to paint what I wanted . But he refused to paint more than 2 colors and he wanted that dread word - neutral- in case the sale fell thru!! My goal is a house that is easy to clean (or at least looks clean). I did get him to paint the bathrooms and livingroom a shade of lime sherbet. But of course I knew he wouldn't do any glazing. Then I get here and find out that despite my willingness to pay extra, he refused to paint with anything but flat paint. those of you who are into faux finishing (and dirt and scuff hiders) know that you need some shine for durability. So I started repainting Elie's bathroom and the laundry room. Don't know if I like it but if not - for $20 and a tiring day, I can repaint! lime sherbet walls with rasberry pink (lightened with white) glaze rolled on with a rag roller. Haven't attempted the LR yet. Need to think about it. The rasberry chairs are OK but the lime sherbet seat covers are a loser - will go for vinyl when I get to town again. Elie's feet and the dog's feet even with sctochguard are not possible to clean off the chairs. Sara - Choose to make lemonade, not complain about the lemons. >From: mfroof@... >Reply-To: >To: >Subject: Sara >Date: Thu, 28 Sep 2006 20:22:37 EDT > ><<Bright green, glazes of pink.
