was Thimerasol ever used in production of MMR?

OK, so we're debating this on Facebook . . . please tell me I didn't dream this . . . at one point in time, wasn't Thimerasol used in the manufacturing stages of the MMR vaccine, and then filtered out?

I know it is not present in the live vaccine and never has been . . . seems like at one point in time a few years back a doctor posted information about this on EOH and I am having problems searching the archives.
