Emptying dressers

It is a real pain - when Elie emptied drawers over and over, first we turned

thedressers to the wall. He soon learned to return them. Then DH drilled

holes from the top to the bottom, put dowels in the holes so the drawers

would not open without the dowels being removed. When that didn't work

anymore, dh put rings in the dowels and strung window chain through the

rings on the top of the dowels and then around the dresser. Eventually, we

had a small simple combo lock on the chains, through the rings on the top of

the dowels. (anyone want to do a song on this???!!!)))

Elie has out grown this behavior. We just sold the last dresser with the

hole going through it to another family with a child with the wild throwing

behavior.

There is hope that this too will pass.
