Guest guest
Hi, Everyone.....Pam and Mimi...welcome to the group. I'm Mom to Gareth.....18 y/o with DS/autism/OCD. We live in Lititz, Pa. and have been on this site for over 6 years. It was a true blessing for us at the time knowing there were other 'Gareths' out there. Take care, Everyone. Guest guest
Mimi, wow! that is unbelievable that she actually said that. We should all write a book about stupid things people have said to us. I hate the " R " word too. It goes right through me. Anyhow -- just got back from a two hour gluten free trip to the grocery store - $190.00 later I still don't know what the h... I'm doing. I need a gluten free hotline when I'm reading these labels. I may have some ingredient questions for you experienced ones later -- right now it's tea time! Patty
Guest guest
Patty, That is cute... I know what you mean about sometimes just not being in the mood for the " lines " . I had a lady in a grocery store once ask me (Lauryn was only around 4 at the time) if the doctors knew " how retarded " she would be, and that really set me off and I said " Not as retarded as you. " and walked away... First, I HATE the " r " word, but I don't even think she was ignorant... I think she was just plain stupid! I know usually people mean well... but we are human too and just have those kind of days. Mimi hamburgpatti@... wrote: In a message dated 9/11/2006 10:11:51 A.M.
