Guest guest
Dear folks: In skimming some past posts, I've noticed that I keep seeing repeated posts after new ones. (in other words, if there are 25 posts in a digest, then after for example #13, there might be post 1-20 from a previous digest right after #13, then after 1-20 it would pick up with #14 again. So I'm getting these incredibly loooooong posts. That happened to me once when I hit " reply to author " to respond to this list. My post got posted, but it carried with it everything else in that day's digest. Fot the post you are now reading,I hit reply to author, but deleted everything on the screen before typing. I'm hoping that helps. Wanted to comment about getting medical things done (dental, ear, etc.) Our requires a bunch of stuff done in is getting it all in one trip. If you'll just work with your dentist, ENT, and primary care doctor they SHOULD be willing coordinate so that you can get all that done under one sedation. We are working through the Down Syndrome Clinic at Children's Health Care of Minneapolis and they are doing this for us. (It's a good time to go ahead and get that haircut and toenail trimming, too. And I'm NOT kidding!). , mom to 6 1/2, DS and PPD/NOS or whatever you want to call it depending on who is diagnosing him

Guest guest
I spoke with him several times via e-mail and I thought he was pretty intouch with the gel issues, he seems to believe that saline implants are safe, I think he said he has only seen a handful of saline implant women with bona fide autoimmune disease, but he told me he believes it exists...I agree most of us do not have a true autoimmune disease. Anyhow Dr Feng recomends him allot and so i do believe he is knowledgable, the problem is he is a Dr and they all are afraid to get to involved with this issue, I think he is good, while I may not agree with everything he says I feel he might be helpful for you Lany. I would see him in a second if I was in NY, he does believe in us, so that is a plus. I do know 2 women who went to him and one he told her that it wasn't her implants, but she has opposite of us, she has underactive immune not overactive, so that may be something else that she has who knows. One other that I know goes to him and says he is rough around the edges but that he is a good Dr, so that is all I can tell ya, I would email him and ask him what your wanting to know and then see what you find out. Love and hugs... In @y..., lany25@w... wrote: > Thanks so much, Patty...I received the info on . Can anyone > vouch for him? Guest guest
, Regarding your patient with locked in syndrome. I have been reading about it the last couple of days in studying for the BCIA exam. It is usually caused by an infarct to the “inferior portion (base or ventral surface) of the pons or medulla when a branch of the basil artery is occluded” so the EEG should be normal. She is probably alert buy unable to move. I would get a QEEG, at least to see if there is anything you can do. Other wise, she may need to use eyeblinks (I assume those are still there) to communicate. I have also heard of people communicating by adjusting their brainwaves. I am not sure how but have seen it on one site or another-perhaps this site. Perhaps knows. My reference is a small book – by Kaufman, Clinical Neurology for Psychiatrists, 1990. It is well-written. Guest guest
Dear Kathy, In this case is car accident , so there is no occlusion on basil artery. The main issue is that if there is or not Dorsal or Caudal damage of Brainstem, because if this happens it will be badly harmed the main nucleus for Dopaminergic pathway (Ventral Tegmental area) , as well as the Serotoninergic (Raphe Nuclei) and Nadrenergic (Locus Ceruleus) . All main structures of the RASA. That Light´s ON the Prefrontal cortex and the Polimodal system of Conciousnes = Prefrontal Connections + Parietal task in Vigilance and awareness. But the main issue here to know is if she is Decorticated position or descerebrated position, with this, only with clinical and with out MRI or TAC,we can really know the Level of the injury, and then the prognosis. This positions shows perfectly well if the damage is Up or down the Red Nucleus and Rubrospinal Pathway. With good clinical Neurological evaluations of all Cranial Never + Decorticated position or descerebrated position, we can have a pretty clear idea if the clinical situation. However as it was Car accident, and this lead to Brain Swallowing and Pressure on infratentorial structures, we are in stand by according of the measures and decisions the guys of Emergency first take in the Hot Phase of the accident. we need the data we asked on my last mail. Warm regards www.qeeg.com.ar RE: Digest Number 484 ,Regarding your patient with locked in syndrome. I have been readingabout it the last couple of days in studying for the BCIA exam. Guest guest
I have noticed that a lot of my patients crave lots of salty foods post-op! *Some patients have even said that they drink pickle juice to satisfy this craving! I was wondering if anyone else had noticed this and/or knew what deficiency might lead to this craving. Thanks! > > There are 10 messages in this issue. > > Topics in this digest: > > 1.
