Pain- MAFO/DAFO/AFO/SMO

I don't really know which is which - Elie has the ones that go above the

ankle. Also after years of asking about his gait, years of wearing what

looked to me like arch supports with over the tarsal strap (at a cost of

$1200!!!!) he now has the above the ankle supports with ankle strap and

Tarsal strap. HE wears them on school days. He no longer rolls his foot in

WHEN THE BRACES are on. But today we were yard sale-ing and I noticed that

he has that sailor's gait again with bear walk and roll inward (and hip

glide as well!)

Elie never complained of pain either, but he doesn't object to wearing them

so they must at least be comfortable.

His PCP suggested them NOT because of the rolling in (typical walk says the

PCP) but because his Achilles tendons were too tight. HMMMMMMMM.
