Guest guest
I have sent this to a few friends, and just wondered how many of our ASD children had this used in delivery? I know a great deal of babies were fine when they used this, but its just like a great deal of children have had vaccines too whom may seem fine. What is the deal with all this Drugging of infants at the beginning of life??? This may seem like a wonder drug, but its not when Mom's and newborns are harmed! Read below the section I have copied below Psychologist Helen Mc Vicar noticed sensory issues in children who have had Pitocin during labor more than 3 hrs. ( Now what on earth does that do to a fetus/infant soon to be born? This makes me really sick - FDA has NEVER approved Pitocin to be given as a elective induced labour, nor is it any PDR. Apparently DR's can give off label medications to their pts, adults - but what about a unborn child? Pitocin can be given - if labour has already begun to help ripening the Mothers cervix and used many times after the baby has been born to help deliver the placenta or help lactation. http://www.gentlebirth.org/archives/autismMS.html#_edn11 [11]Newsweek Magazine, July 31, 2000 and Care in Normal Birth: A Practical Guide—W.H.O’s “Safe Motherhood†series [12] Silverman, . The Institute for the Study of Advanced Development We’ve found a surprising number of gifted children with sensory-motor delays at the GiftedDevelopmentCenter. Many of these children were the product of very long labors, emergency C-sections, a cord wrapped around part of the body, or the need of oxygen at birth. Recently, another potential culprit has emerged. One of our staff psychologists, Helen McVicar, noticed a relationship between long hours of pitocin and sensory integration problems in children. In her research, Helen learned that pitocin was developed to be used for up to three or four hours to induce labor, but it is commonly used for longer periods. [13]Van Gent, et al.
