If these carp get into the Great Lakes they will do to that ecosystem what they

have done to the Mississippi watershed. Google " Asian jumping carp " to get

numerous reports over the damage they have done. In some areas of the

Mississippi River they now represent over 80% of the biomass, and have killed

off nearly all native species because they consume all the food as well as fish

eggs.

One more example of the dangers of introducing exotics from other parts of the

world, just like multifloral rose, japanese beetles, judzu and zebr mussles.
