Guest guest Posted May 9, 2006 Report Share Posted May 9, 2006 Hi a, This is the problem I ran into over the years, 's TSH levels were high according to the new levels but all the Military Labs are still using the old levels. His levels over the years: 4.3 4.5 2.5 5.5 4.4 3.9 So you can see that most Doctors weren't exactly panicking. The lab lets TSH go to 4.94 before they flag it as high. The Pediatric Endo and Neuro Ped decided we should look at his Thyroid Antithyroglobulin AB. It was 323 the normal range is (0 - 40)! They also looked at his Thyroid Microsomal AB. It was 504 the normal range is ( 0-34)! Both antibodies were off the charts. I would highly suggest having these looked at, he could very well be on his way to Hypothyroidism and just not presenting all the symptoms yet. Push for that a. Let us know what you find out.
