Guest guest
Hi everyone, Sorry I haven't been around much lately. Phew I've been busy. The kids finished up their last week of school and I spent it running here there and everywhere between teacher gifts, retirement gifts, and all that jazz! Glad it's over! Thanks to all who commented on 's video montage, I just loved doing that. I can't wait to make more of my other children and other family events. Such a cool website. My oldest, , hurt his ankle about a month ago - can't remember if I shared that. We had gone to the ER and they said it was a bad sprain and put him on crutches and an air cast type thing. When we followed up with the peds ortho 2 weeks later, turns out it was actually broken - in the growth plate! They put a cast on him right then and there, was mortified. He was so bummed. Last summer it was a spinal cord injury and a summer full of a neckbrace. This year, it's just a walking cast!!! He's reached the end of his rope with the 90 degree temps with high humidity, the itchies have set in. Not too much longer and it will be off! He gets it off the day before we leave for PA - just in time to swim in the hotel pool. Originally he wasn't going to be with me in PA, he was supposed to go to football camp in Maine but we had to change that plan after the broken ankle! He'll be 15 in October, anyone else bringing any older typical siblings???? I know he's going to be a bit bored with all us chatting Mommies! I'm going to Milwaukee straight from PA to visit my family - haven't seen them in a year. My cousin had a baby two months early in February, so I can't wait to get my paws on him!!! My dad totally surprised me and is paying for the kids and I to stay at a super nice hotel while we're there. I'm so glad, it's such a goat rope when we come to town. I have the most kids and by far the biggest circus act so it's just easier to stay at a hotel. My Dad and I haven't exactly had the typical father/daughter relationship so this is really big for me, he's coming along now that he's about to be 60!! LOL! Hubby left yesterday for England for a military trip - poor guy right?! My baby sister arrives tomorrow from Idaho with her two sons, 4 and 6, can't wait. We are so close - talk about 5 times a day usually! We haven't seen eachother in a year! We plan on eating yummy appetizers all week long and drinking wine on the porch after the kids go to bed! I'm going to take her for a pedicure too, belated b-day gift. She runs a home day care so she is really ready for a break! I can't wait to see her. With the knowledge that my sister would be visiting that meant REDECORATE! We haven't had any family visit us yet here in Virginia so of course I needed to make the house perfect - cough cough! I've been up til 1:30am the past several nights painting. I painted the kitchen, family room, powder room, and master bedroom. I got a wild hair and needed some color!!! It looks great and I'm so glad I did it. Then I did a total turbo clean all day today and yesterday - this place looks awesome. You know how it takes a guest to get your tail in gear! I'm so excited for the picnic - can't believe it's coming up so fast. What's the latest head count? How many are bringing hubby's and siblings? I'll have, with me, - 14 1/2, Emma- 9 1/2, and (Ds/Aut) - 7 and of course MOI! I have so many emails to catch up on, don't know when I'll find the time but hopefully. Hope you all are well. Miss " chatting " with you. Take care, Jayne in VA --------------------------------- Talk is cheap. Use Yahoo! Messenger to make PC-to-Phone calls. Great rates starting at 1¢/min.
