Guest guest
To those of you who are military or retired: Today we went to get Elie his new ID as he will turn 21 in July. We were told to bring " recent proof " that he is permanently disabled and that it occured before age 18. I was in a panic as I had nothing recent and nothing that said his disability occurred before age 18. We finally decided to go with the psychological report we had done when Elie was turning 18. It stated an " approximate IQ " (he refused to participate in all the testing). And the report stated that he had DS/PDD-nos?/ASD? We were in and out in 15 minutes. The document was accepted as presented, date of document recorded with dx and IQ and o questions -we were OUT OF THERE!!! Just a heads up to get that psychological profile done before age 18 for both Social Security and now we learned for military dependent benefits.
