I just got a call from 's neuro that she would not be able to keep her appt. for next week as they are no longer accepting medicaid (straight). By July 1 everyone is supposed to have switched over to an hmo. We got NO notice of this. Absolutely none and I am furious. All her doctors and therapists will now have to do reevals IF they accept whatever HMO she has been assigned. We have no idea. If we call medicaid noone ever calls back. Our CDC coordinator is in the hospital....last word from her was that this change was not going to affect special needs kids. I am so sick of incompetence and red tape and BS!!!!! has about 8 appts. lined up for July while Jim is home, none of which she will be able to keep apparently. God I hate this!
