Guest guest
That's right, Carol. The walls have eyes & ears!!! =) We will definitely miss having everyone together, but perhaps if some does have a laptop-(maybe my daughter will bring her's) we can chat from the picnic!!! I think we should all get online at 1 p.m. and give everyone a cyber-hug!!!!! Liz Re: Who's NOT going to the picnic? In a message dated 6/30/2006 5:06:36 P.M. Guest guest
What a great idea - virtual picnic - I love it!! I would have loved to go to the picnic but am not able to. Some year if it's a bit closer I might try it.....Dylan isn't always the best in those kind of situations - and I'd hate to have driven all that way & have him be upset the whole time. I'll bring the virtual cake with lots of frosting..... Becky gldcst wrote: Wah Wah wah. Is it tomorrow?? at noon? Guest guest
I hope the group out at the picnic are not running around chasing their kiddos they are actually enjoying being able to eat, chat, etc. My imagination running here placing our kids all together. At LEAST EVERYONE WILL BE ABLE TO RELATE! Not like several DS support groups I use to belong to who would just give me the eye, mentioning how I was over-protective,etc. I was never able to sit and chat as I always had to chase , he never would sit still. This was one of the reason I could not wait to be able to attend this picnic, unfortuantely I was unable to for several reasons hopefully next time. has come along way, still watch him like a hawk but what a relief able to do so much including him with us on outings, parties, etc. Now I can just play some music, he'll be the first one dancing. If I place food in front of him, he'll stay put and actually eat. If I have a trampoline or one of those inflatable moonwalk, he will do this all day. Have his portable DVD player, he'll stay put too. If he has his favorite dangling item, this is a plus too. Include some sensory & motor activities he'll love this too. Anything involving the Out-of-sync person. Can't wait to hear the outcome of the first picnic. Maybe Jayne will do one of those wonderful video montage or one of those scrapbooks as a script story. Loved Louise book. Everyone is just so creative. Thanks everyone for just being you. Irma,17,DS/ASD
