Guest guest
This is a notification that you will probably soon be seeing the new book I wrote for in the non fiction section of your bookstores very soon. Joan will have alot of competition here. I couldn't " just " make a social story about her period; I had to create a frigging masterpiece that probably ended up costing way too much. It really is lovely tho...particularly the lifelike drawing of with blood coming out in big red drops...Too much info?? LOL If anyone is interested I will send the text of the story, which was preapproved by a behavioral special ed teacher friend who gave me some good pointers. I ended up taking some digital photos of her in her " special pants " . The wording was supposed to be... " The special pants feel yukky....this is OK! " and she posed with a Tshirt and the pants on with this horrible grimace on her face which was perfect for the story. What a hoot....then there are pics of me and Jim shaking our fists in glee with the repeated refrain " Mommy and Daddy are happy when I keep my special pants on and stay clean " . This dang thing took weeks. Why can't I just throw together a boardmaker book and be happy? I know we're going to be rereading this one a million times so the old ex professional artist came out. I can't wait to exhibit it at our local Museum of Art. Be watching for it on the New York Times Bestseller list....coming soon to a and Noble near you!! Guest guest
Hi Sherry, I will look forward to reading your book. Speaking of myself with absolutely no artist ability, difficulty with stick figures, I admire your talent. I certainly am pleased I have a boy. Guest guest
<<What is the actual name of the book? I will keep an eye out for it and buy a copy. Brigid>> Oops it's not a REAL book...I was just being a jokester, although for the time it's taken to write it for her I should be getting a Pulitzer Prize! Just a book to help her deal with having to wear a pad or " special pants " during her period as she likes to take her pads out and stick them all over the wall. It's a form of a " social story " I hope will help. Good news is she was fascinated by it this AM when I read it. bad news...She's due for her period again very soon HELP. Guest guest
Isn't that funny that I missed the joke part! It would be really cool to have a book like this. My daughter does very well with her pads etc. She does need reminders to wash her hands though. She would think nothing of coming out of the bathroom with totally red hands!...and go to lunch! She just doesn't get it at all. Brigid Re: 's new book <<What is the actual name of the book? I will keep an eye out for it and buy a copy.
