Guest guest
Hi everyone, We're having such a difficult time with Isaiah lately. In the past two weeks, he's changes so much. The child that TM is describing sound just like Isaiah. For a while there, I was sure it was him. Anyway here's what's happened. 2 1/2 weeks ago his dosage of fluoxetine was increase very slightly. Around the same time he just didn't seem himself. He became very irritable. After about a week he finally said his ear hurt so I had him check. Turns out he has an infection and now he's on Omnicef, (4 days so far). At home he gets upset easily, cries or just gets mad whenever we ask him do his homework or anything that requires him to stop watching his videos. Before, he didn't enjoy doing his homework, but he'd only slightly resist then he'd do it. He has also sleeping in his room for sometime now. But this week he' been crying and says, " mom's bed " . We finally gave give on Wed. it was already 10:00 and I have to get up at 4:30. At school he's become very defiant when asked to do something, all he wants to do is puzzles and magna doodle (those are his rewards when he finishes his work). He's been ripping up papers taking things from his assistants desk and on Monday he was sent to the office for putting his arm across another students neck. Then yesterday he came home with a bad choice ticket for pushing some one. I just feel so bad because I don't know if there's something else bothering him or if it's the meds. The night he slept in our bed, I gave him Motrin just in case something hurt and for the first time in a very long time he didn't toss and turn all night. When I ask him if something hurts all he says is " all gone, better " . A couple weeks ago when I picked him up after school, I noticed him kicking his foot and stepping on it. After asking him to stop for about 1/2 an hour, I finally took of his shoe. I could n't believe what I saw. His big toe was bloody. His toenail was bent back about 2/3 of the way up. I felt so bad because it must have been bothering him all day and no one bothered to check and he never said a thing. My husband has very little patience lately. I think he's frustrated because we're suppposed to make things better for Isaiah and we just don't know how. So my question is, have any of you kids ever had a reaction like this to antibiotics? Any suggestions? Thanks for listening, --------------------------------- Yahoo! Mail goes everywhere you do. Get it on your phone.
