<<My son 7yr been on Amoxil... for ear infection and chronic sinus... he

began

the headbanging up again.. and so not himself...So took him to the

physcritics(sp) and said some kids and some antibodics causes chemical

imbalance.. this is what happen to us.. so while on Amoxil (40 days) we

upped the other meds and added another sleep aid.. WOW.. what a diiference

it has made. We have @ 15 days left! >>

<<<<So my question is, have any of you kids ever had a reaction like this to

antibiotics? Any suggestions? Thanks for listening, >>

Hi, Everyone.... and ...there has been a lot in the medical

news lately about kids and adults having an overgrowth of C-diff bacteria in the

bowels because of antibiotics. It can be very uncomfortable, painful, and

possibly deadly. Whenever Gareth is on antibiotics now, I always start him

immediately on Acidophilus and give him yogurt ice-cream. Just an idea.

<><Well, we reduced her dosage of Risperdal to .2 mls last night and this

morning and the PIGS were back big time by about 10 a.m. I called Tori's Dev.

Ped and we discussed the situation and decided let's pick Dr. Capone's brain.

Well, he suggests we double the dosage of the Risperdal from .25 mls to .5

mls 2x day and see what happens. We actually just increased prozac ,....that

a little as well to try to stabilize her moods a bit >>

Liz.....why would you increase the Risperdal if she is having problems on a

lower dosage? Is the Risp. a new addition on top of the Prozac or has she

been on both for awhile? How much Prozac is she taking? Gareth can only

handle 10 mg (155#) and when that stops working we have to change to Luvox or

Lexapro. He can't handle 20 mg of Prozac. It's that way with all the SSRI's

for

him.....he can only handle the smallest dosages. Sure hope you can find the

answers....poor Tori. Take care, Everyone.

Margaret
