Guest guest
My son(7) is an avid Bear in the Big Blue House and Barney fan!!!! A day can not go by without the viewing of both of these. we recently got a new vehicle that has a DVD player in it...now I cannot get him to come out of the car. But he brings along his VHS tapes too and cannot figure out why we cannot play them too!!!! Guest guest
<< loves the old Tv show called Sharon, Lois & Bram's Elephant show>> FINALLY someone who knows the Elephant Show. You have absolutely no idea how important Sharon Lois and bram are in this house. is addicted to them....all 65 episodes and the extras. We bought all we could off of ebay then I went to Bullfrog and another source that had all the originals. They duped many for us for free and then we paid for the rest. I keep the originals in a " vault " and make jamie copies on a GOvideo on half hour tapes to ruin. If a hurricane comes these are the first things we will save.LOL I just got a VCR to DVD recorder and am planning on turning them into DVDs but she still loves the videos. She can use these tapes to say anything she wants to. It's the world's largest most cumbersome communication device. Dh and I know all the parts and songs by heart and we act them out for her (The Queen!) Right after 's last open heart surgery at age 7 we saw them down here about 10 years ago. They brought us backstage and sang her favorite at the time Itsy Bitsy Spider- private rendition. She totally loves Nagler and thinks he's hilarious. We have written to them all and gotten autographed photos. They are wonderful. Mostly Sharon is the one who responds. Have you gotten a copy of the CDrom Cyberboogie? It comes up on Ebay rarely but it's the only thing she would do on the computer for years. Still loves it. We've bought their songbooks off of Ebay and when all else fails I sing them to her to get her to go to sleep. (My singing would put anyone to sleep). Oh Boy- we definitely have to get together!!! Guest guest
Liam (10) loves anything animated - especially Disney and Spongebob. He went through a huge Scooby Doo phase, but that's passed. Now he's been addicted to " Cats and Dogs " , his first non-animated obsession! > > What does your kids with DS/Autism love to watch. > > loves the old Tv show called Sharon, Lois & Bram's Elephant show > > If you don't know what that is I have a link > http://www.bullfrogfilms.com/catalog/show.html The show is off air now, the show been on in the 80's > & Misty > >
Guest guest
Funny thing is we can't GET Josiah to watch T.V. Not even the Wiggles which captives most preschoolers! Lately, he's been watching the Love and Learning DVD's, which are the ONLY thing he'll attend to. And it's been great. He's non-verbal, but due to the Love and Learning program, he's already reading 3 words (that we know of so far). When we show him the words from the Love and Learning Books (one per page) he signs the sign for that word. Pretty cool! Sandy, mom to Josiah, age 4, DS/ASD TV Shows What does your kids with DS/Autism love to watch. loves the old Tv show called Sharon, Lois & Bram's Elephant show If you don't know what that is I have a link http://www.bullfrogfilms.com/catalog/show.html The show is off air now, the show been on in the 80's & Misty

He liked Barney videos but only after they had been on several times so we were all tired of them but he was just starting to like them. has never liked shows that are animated except for Toy Story. I think he saw the characters more as people rather than some animation that is talking animals. We have spread his interest to other things but he still needs to watch things multiple times before he will request it. Karyn
Guest guest
Our son Sam is a real TV addict or perhaps I should say 'DVD' addict as he is very selective about what he likes to watch. Generally most of his DVD's have alot of music/singing in them. He can soon loose interest in something if there's too much talking. Sam is nearly four, so I'm not sure if what he's watching will be age appropriate for your child, but some of his favourites are: The Wiggles, Sesame Street 'Play with me' series ie 'Playtime with Grover', Hi Five, Bear in the Big Blue House and The Hooley Dooleys. He is usually not interested in any cartoons or other kids programmes on TV. He also ocassionly enjoys watching the odd rock/concert DVD with his dad and has been known to have a good old boogie along with the Rolling Stones! Guest guest
For some reason, my son has become a news addict. He wants to watch " 11 Alive " (our local news) and then NBC News right after it. His other favorite show is Wheel of Fortune! Tina " Parents aren't interested in justice - they want QUIET! " -- Bill Cosby
