Guest guest
On a lighter note, recently picked up the words Bull% & it and has been using it at times in place of the much less socially acceptable f word. It is not every parent that is happy when her teen uses a swear word. Karyn

You know, Maddie is non-verbal and I have ALWAYS told my kids that she is the ONLY one allowed to curse.....;-) Hey, she doesn't need to use the middle finger, words, or even pictures or voice output......she gives new meaning to the term *if looks could kill*......LOLOL Donna
Guest guest
<<You know, Maddie is non-verbal and I have ALWAYS told my kids that she is the ONLY one allowed to curse.....;-)>> Well, hasn't picked up anything too bad but she definitely has an outlet. I don't know where it came from or what it means exactly but she yells " Woozle " in a voice which leaves no question of interpretation of meaning. Sometimes she says it when getting blood drawn, sometimes a quieter one when working on a project not going well, a huge loud one when the Slp shows up after being gone for awhile. Last night I looked over and she was actually saying " woozle " in her sleep. It's really cute actually cause everybody else has adopted it as a " curse " word for their spouses or bosses. The " secret " word LOL. The therapists count how many times they got " woozled " each session. She's a character. Sherry
Guest guest
Tori could sometimes have the mouth of a truck driver. Way before she started sleeping, she would be awake when the Sopranos were on. Just so you understand, she never paid attention. Anyway, one night Tony S had a fight with his wife and told her to eat her f****** meal, well...guess who picked up on that!! You got it!! However, she changes it around when I say I am going to get the mail...she says " Mommy getting the f****** mail. " Oh, how cute. The thing is she knows it is wrong to say, and says " OOOHH, don't say that, Tori! " She hasn't said it in quite a while, until yesterday, when I stopped to pick up the mail..and low & behold...out it came! Guest guest
oh my gosh Liz! I'll never forget when my cousin was about 2 years old, she's 32 now, she looked out the window to see her best friend outside. Without missing a beat she said, " What the f*** is doing outside? " ! My Aunt, who still to this day says " Oh my Stars and Garters " or " Fiddlesticks " or " Fudge Roy-al " , was absolutely mortified. There was never a doubt where she learned it from - my uncle can swear with the best of 'em! Better not let her see you get the mail anymore Liz!!! Take care, Jayne Liz D wrote: Tori could sometimes have the mouth of a truck driver. Way before she started sleeping, she would be awake when the Sopranos were on. Guest guest
Her other favorites is " What the HE**! " , and then she changes it to " What the heck! " or " SOB! " but says it with such intensity! Guest guest
Liz, I cannot get over how alike Sophie and Tori are. Unfortunately I can't blame the Sopranos, Sophie gets it from me! I've worked hard at eliminating my bad language so hopefully it won't stick. Lisette > > Tori could sometimes have the mouth of a truck driver. Guest guest
Lisette: Yes, acorns don't fall too far from the tree. I worked for years with men in construction, etc. so there you have it. I try to curb it as much as possible. Liz Re: swearing > Liz, > I cannot get over how alike Sophie and Tori are. Unfortunately I > can't blame the Sopranos, Sophie gets it from me!
