It is also possible that they can remove most of the capsule, but leave some, as was the case of my other girlfriend who had the anterior capsule taken out, but not the posterior one. She went to Dr. Huang in Denver for the final surgery in which they found the posterior capsule and other gunk in there. That last little bit of scar capsule can make a difference in your healing or not, hard to believe. I am not sure how they can determine if there is residual scar capsule tissue inside you or not, without going right in there to explore and see it firsthand. Sad prospect. I think MRI's of the breast can see some things, but I have heard too, where residual scar tissue can look like dense tissue or calcified things or even cancerous tumors.....I don't know. My best suggestion would be to write Dr. Feng and she what she has to say. Maybe she knows how to determine if you have residual scar tissue or not. Please let us know what she tells you, Shirl! He understands the dangers of implants and does an excellent job.
