I remember used to hate birthdays and Xmas and it was so depressing for all of us till we started doing things in a " " calmer way and not all the big party stuff I wanted. Guest guest Posted April 23, 2006 Report Share Posted April 23, 2006 For me, I'm remembering that my oldest was 7 when was born, my daughter was 7 when we moved here to Virginia. I can't help but get a bit sad when I think about what the big kids were able to do at 7 and where is at 7. Not that I'm sad, but just a bit " reflective " I guess? Don't get me wrong, I celebrate everything that accomplishes and I know he's who HE is and I love every ounce of him but I think you all know where I'm coming from - it's hard not to compare a little I guess. I just told her was spoken for and I think I heard her say " Woozle!! " OK so which 17 year olds out there are not spoken for already? To be honest I must admit has a " fiance " on another list who is 17 plus in her Gym class who can't keep his eyes off her. But they're like " normal " DS kids and I'm not so sure it will work out as well as a boyfriend with the dual dx. LOL. Like could even care. Jayne, I think all birthdays (especially mine now:-)) are a little sad....time for reflection and realizing how quickly the time goes. I feel like I still have a toddler at times along with a 7 yo and a teenager all rolled into one. Maybe God did it that way cause he knew I could only have one. Still don't know how to pedal it or steer it though. He did really well on his old trike, why'd he have to get so tall??? LOL!
