Hi, I just read this on a rather alarmist sounding blog piece just now about what might happen if the FTC/FDA essentially gets their way and takes over everything, potentially outlawing natural remedies for anything (I said it was alarmist sounding):"But the FTC's days are numbered, I believe. Its tyrannical actions against the natural health industry are an extension of the Bush Administration's Big Pharma push, and with the Bush criminals on their way out of the White House, all that's about to change. Or at least, we hope. (If Obama brings a new set of criminals into the White House, we probably won't see much change, and the seeming appointment of Dr. Sanjay Gupta to U.S. Surgeon General certainly doesn't hint at good things for the natural health industry under an Obama administration...)" [emphasis mine, written January 13, 2009] During the "post-Poling-concession" emphasis when we all thought something might actually get done regarding autism and immune-over-stimulation-related markers (ie too many multiple vaccines on one day, and mitochondrial disruptions), I though the consensus was that Gupta seemed to actually "get it". This seems at odds with what the above commentator is saying - unless this is just part of the much-apparent bias and potential lack of objectivity/balance in the above piece.Jim
