Guest guest
<<Ursula, mom of Rumi, 3, DS/ASD and Zola 17 months, ASD>> Hi, Everyone.....Ursula...my prayers are with you. I can't imagine the heartache, but hopefully the early intervention will help both. Please don't give up. I know that when Gareth was younger and at his worst, I was also ready to loose it, that all turned around as he got older. Liz....I never went through that with Gareth, but you're in my prayers also. How about making her clean herself up, pants and all? <<So AC is her occasional nickname. Academic Curiosity. a>> When Gareth was first dx'd at age 61/2, he was labeled DS, markedly autistic, ADD, and Tourette's syndrome. The Psych wrote " because of this unusual combination of neurological disorders.....and clearly because of the fact that this youngster will not communicate verbally other than clicking noises and barking, .it WOULD NOT be advisable to attempt any kind of therapy with this child at this point. The best solution would be to aid the parents in handling the child. " I thank God that I didn't follow her suggestions!!! Even with the AC nickname, Hannah can go on to do so very much. Take care, Everyone. Margaret
