Guest guest
Has anyone else heard of this hypothesis? Someone recently brought it to my attention, I had heard about the hygiene hypothesis but not h-pylori. It's connected to the hygiene hypothesis in that they believe the decrease of the h-pylori microbe is due to clean water, smaller families, overuse of antibacterials and of course the over use of antibiotics, but what was interesting to me was that when talking to my friend the researcher also mentioned to him mercury in amalgams(which they consider to be antibacterial). Of course he never mentioned the mercury in vaccines, the environment, or food. Anyway I got to thinking because my son who has autism does not have asthma , he did however have an h-pylori infection when he was younger and he has GERD. My two daughters on the other hand have asthma, they do not have autism. My son is now 19 he is not high functioning and I thought wow I'm so glad he doesn't have asthma too because I don't know how I would ever get him to use an inhaler let alone know when he was having trouble breathing. Which got me to thinking that I haven't heard about many kids with autism having asthma too. Do any of your children with autism have asthma too?
