Guest guest
Liz, I wish there was something I could do to make you feel better. You hang in there, I know it's a lot to go through and I will keep you in my prayers. Carol Trishasmom She isn't typical, She's Trisha! Guest guest
oh Liz, I am so sorry. I will say prayers for you, hang in there honey, it will get better. FIGHT!! MUCH LOVE AND HUGS!! Viola Sorry guys, it's just me again. I am so depressed at this point. I was quite sick after Tori was born in 2000. I had an emergency D & C when she was 7 weeks old because I had a second placenta, then 2 months later I had to have my gall bladder out. All this time I was running a fever and had high white counts. I was on every antibiotic in the world and even had biopsies, bone marrow, a PET scan and thousands of blood tests. Needless to say, in 2004 I found out I had a blocked kidney and that what was making me sick. I had surgery in the day before Thanksgiving in 2004, it was fixed and I actually did well for all of 2005. Well, guess what! I had a sinus infection a few weeks back with a temp, took my antibiotics, and low and behold I still had a temp. I felt kinda weird, and called my urologist and we did a urine test which showed white & red blood cells in it. Well, I am back on heavy duty antibiotics again and today I just had a renal U/S and the kidney is not emptying again. Geez, does it ever end? I have to go to the Dr. on Tuesday to see what we do next. He did tell me that if it is blocked for 6 weeks or longer, it will die. I am ready to flip! Guest guest
Liz, I'm really sorry you're sick. I will have you in my prayers, too. do they know what blocked it the first time? Are you a big tea drinker? My brother had several kidney stones, he drank 3-5 cups a day. Iced tea counts too. If they fixed it the first time, I'm sure they'll be able to do it again. At least you know this time early what's bothering you. Keep thinking positive, let us know what happens. Gigi 's Mom Ok, Now I am depressed... Sorry guys, it's just me again. Guest guest
Thanks to everyone for their support. I apologize once again for venting ...... but YOU GUYS are great. Well, I have to now have an IVP (have dye injected into bladder/ureter/kidney to see what is blocking my kidney-whether it be a stone or scar tissue from the first operation. I am glad I've caught this early..because it is now starting to get achy. The last time, I was in the ER 4 times and on morphine (which I must say most of the time is a wonderful drug-but didn't work with this thing!) Oh, just thought I would keep you posted on the drama here. Oh, I bought a Turtle sandbox for Tori today and put rice and beans in it and she loves it. I also bought one of those " fake grass " door mats and she loves rubbing it all over herself! Maybe we can redirect some of her aggression to that...I am hoping. Guest guest
Hey, Jayne...no problem. I think the 2nd placenta was either left from a miscarriage I believe I had 6 months prior to conceiving Tori, or the possibility that she had a twin that didn't survive. The doctor said you sometimes develop a secondary one, but I have serious doubts about that. Guest guest
Hmmm, interesting. I haven't ever heard of developing a second one either, but then again, I'm no MD. I hope things go well for you with the kidney test. Hang in there, Jayne Liz D wrote: Hey, Jayne...no problem.
