Guest guest
http://luminahealth.com/products/cellfood/ingredients.htm Promethium and technetium are both radioactive elements. What is interesting is – that MONTHS ago, they responded to Brainchild Nutritionals, who still sells this crap, saying it was an error on their part to have these ingredients listed and it’s a common mistake since to list these with the other elements, etc etc – and yet, they are still listed in their ingredients list on their website. So, really, was it an error – or are these elements truly ingredients in this product? You’d think if it WAS a mistake, and they were aware of it because they responded, their website would have been updated to reflect that. They have edited their website since 8/29/2008, when I made a copy, to remove Lithium, but left these two radioactive elements listed there. Now why would they do that if they truly were not ingredients? And this is only two ingredients which were questioned – antimony is surely something I do not want my child knowingly consuming either. They also removed this from their ingredient listing as well: (Note the absence of aluminum, cadmium, chlorine, lead, mercury, and radium) Letter from Mark , CEO of Lumina Health: http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/Autism-Mercury/message/235068 I had written out a history for someone who asked me directly what was going on with this whole debacle and have pasted it below for anyone who is interested. Andy Cutler brought it to everyone’s attention that the ingredient list was questionable since it claimed to have 2 radioactive elements, technecium and promethium. http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/Autism-Mercury/message/234266 Since Andy’s original post, there were multiple posts and emails flying around on this group (Autism-mercury) and others regarding this. Lumina Health then issued a letter stating that they were updating their ingredients list to include the correct ingredients and that the ingredients in question were mistakenly listed as Cellfood ingredients for years: http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/Autism-Mercury/message/235050 Additionally, Brainchild sent a sample in for testing and then came back stating that the sample did not have any aluminum, arsenic, cadmium, mercury and lead: http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/BrainChildDiscussion/message/2099 Good to know, but it didn’t exactly help us feel any better about the ingredients that were being discussed. When asked to see the testing results, Brainchild refused due to a “confidentiality agreement” with the testing lab. http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/BrainChildDiscussion/message/2122 Bottom line here is – if Lumina Health or Brainchild are not willing to share the independent lab results, then something is really wrong here. If the company is not responsible enough with the ingredients listed on their label, then they really can’t be trusted with the actual contents inside that bottle. If Brainchild really did extensive research on this product before adding it to their product line, then they would have found Lumina Health’s mistake long before it was pointed out on a message board on the internet. Guest guest
Thank you. I actually had good results with it for myself when I experienced several episodes of reflux. But I hadn't seen any of this information so thanks.
