Guest guest
Doesn't Gatorade have fake dyes and flavors? Those two things alone are blamed for a number of behavioral problems -- just like MSG. I think there are similar non-toxic products at Whole Foods or similar stores. I think Blaylock has blasted Gatorade enough in the past few years that no one should be consuming this. It makes me cringe when I watch football games and see these guys who might otherwise take good care of themselves drinking this crap.RoxSubject: Seizure ideaTo: EOHarm Date: Thursday, January 8, 2009, 3:27 AM Okay another thought that has helped some kids. Sounds way out there. but won't hurt. Salt -- give them Sea Salt, not your standard table salt!! Sea Salt unbleached is preferred. Some kids have more seizures when sodium levels drop. Some of these kids, Electrolytes are out of balance I think with meds and all. It may take a while to get the sodium levels normalized so you may not know how its working. I wonder if you could make a solution of 1 tsp of Sea Salt per 8 oz glass of water. You could even add at little amount to their yogurt, drinks they drink ( not juice's -) add it to some veggies, as a way to get it in them faster. Just be sure to offer plenty of water to hydrate them so their cells take it in well. If nothing else try Pedalyte, or Gatorade, as they are a electrolyte solution. ( I have seen this work before in some kids with seizures and it won't hurt them so its something simple you can try out and see if your child's behavior also improves.)
