Now one of the characters just said it’s “child abuse” to not vaccinate your kid.

Thank god I have this on DVR- because I can only watch a minute at a time.

This is a nightmare. The doctor just walked over and gave the kid a shot while the mother is yelling “NO!”.

kill the kid off

No sooner than I hit enter on my previous post and the phone just rang...

She (MIL) is telling my husband that I am neglecting our child and now she has

the PROOF.

A fictional TV show is now her proof that I am endangering my child. I am going

to get a

lot of sleep tonight! (this from the woman who pulled her own children's rotten

teeth out

with pliers to save money on dentist bills...but at least my husband didn't have

mercury

amalgams!)

The non-asd kid got the shot.

You know, honestly, I can’t tell if I’m crying because of what happened (don’t want to totally spoil it) or how this makes ME and MY CHILD look.

It’s so insulting to be called a horrible mother because you won’t vaccinate your child. Oh, I’m sorry my “little time bomb”.

Right now every curse word wants to travel from my brain to my fingers and write them down- but I will control myself.

I still have about 10 min of the show to watch. But, it’s just- so- hard!!!

I watch very few TV series like this. I suspect this was the sick

reaction they wanted to get from the viewers. I just watched their

looks like a really stupid TV series (lots of sex to sell the show).

There is a researcher's blog on that site, but I didn't see anything

about this particular episode blogged.

gets all the " catch up " shots too, including flu shots for all the

years she missed them, before they were available - all at once. She

What's scary is that some idiot doctors will watch the show and

emulate. You know how those shot-happy docs are: no imagination, very

literal, lack of empathy, repetitive behavior, etc.

If a doc gives one of my children a shot without my consent, they'd

better take on an assumed identity for the rest of their lives.

Amen. When in all fairness, any doctor who forced a shot without

consent should be in jail with felons chasing them with big,

giant....

Well, I just won't say what those felons are chasing them with. I'm

naturally feminine and curvaceous (reference to new boob study) and,

whoopsee, just don't utter such things. ;~)

The boy was in the waiting room while his brother was dying. The doctor ran over to the kid and put a needle in his arm while the mother screamed NO at him.

I would have punched the doctor and then called the police. But, the poor mother was alone and going thru a lot- so I don’t blame her. She did say she was going to sue the hospital.

Okay,

I watched " I Am Legend", now I have the heebie jeebies. They will turn us all into vampires with the cure chasing syringe.

This show is lame and they obviously have no parents with autistic children on their staff. I'm sure they soon will have a loved one with this unfortunate developmental disability. If the CDC and the AAP and Offit keep it up, we all will have it..Just another stroke by Offit and his friends. We will eventually be heard and validated. I'm surprised Peet didn't have a special guest appearance.. I turned it off, I started getting a little anxious and pissy..

This fear mongering episode was brought to us by the same network

that brought us the wonderfully written Eli Stone episode last year.

Perhaps this is ABCs way of apeasing their pharma sponsors who were

angry at them for the Eli Stone episode.

Did anybody watch Grey's Anatomy last night as well? It must have

been " bash autism " night on ABC. A few episodes ago they introduced a

character who is a cardiac surgeon with Aspergers. In last night's

episode the chief of staff was depressed that the hospital is doing

so poorly, losing surgeons. He stated something to the affect of (I

forget the character names), " We can't keep a cardiac surgeon. Our

best surgeon (so and so) left, and (so and so) surgeon had autism... "

with total disgust in his voice.

Last night was the last time I watch both of those shows.

I watched both too but I had to force myself to watch the second

one. So many messages. If we can't blame autsim on the mom we will

blame her for her second child's death. They didn't show the drug

addict's child getting the shot so I guess the message is that a drug

addict that doesn't remember is more " responsible " than an autism

mom.

I think their next story line should be about a kid where the mom

says that the kid is allerigic to penicillin and have the doctors

give the kid that shot while the mom screams no. They can say how

that it is the " standard of care " and then cut to the doctors hopping

into bed with each other and then, of course, not show what happens

to the kid.

On Grey's I think he said " is autistic " . What's the message here?

Autism isn't that bad it is just a little social skills problem?

I won't again either. I was getting sick of the whole doctors as

gods theme on both anyway.
