Hi, Everyone...A.....I felt so sad for you reading your post. Most of us

are the same way....we know there is 'something' wrong with our kids and many

of us already suspect the autism, but we still cry whenever we're told it by

the officials. will do fine as long as you keep doing what you're

doing....being open minded on all ends of his therapies, education, etc.

n.....I think you need a break.....especially if you are so frustrated

and angry that you yell and yank Isaac out of the car!!! Yes...transitions

can be very hard for our kids, especially if it's a new class, etc. Someone

needs to step in and watch Isaac to see what's causing the major

fears/anxiety, etc. Also....as far as the walking goes. Have you had him

checked for hip

dysplasia. It's very common in DS kids because of the lack of muscle tone.

He may have a medical reason for not walking. Gareth has had hip surgery

and I know his knees pop in and out all the time.

Take care, Everyone.

Thanks Margaret! I know what you mean. We have had the Autism DX for

a few years now... but learning about the Language Delays like it

was seperate but from the DS and Autism was helpful but sad. I

remember though when we got the Autism DX... was 4 1/2. I

knew... and there were no questions about it from the Ped Neuro

too... but it STILL hurts... like grieving all over again. That is

how I felt yesterday.

But again.. now it's time to use all this info and help him even

more!
