Guest guest
Just thought I would share this picture of Freddie in the hospital after his tonsil/adenoid removal. The doctors and nurses were amazed at how The Wiggles calmed Freddie while waking from the anesthesia. The Wiggle dolls were on sale for $8.00 each. Couldn't pass that one up. Notice the DVD playing is also The Wiggles. For those of you who have not experienced The Wiggles, may suggest you give them a try. Freddie isn't allowed to watch too many media programs. The few he does watch keep him moving and involved. He dances and sings like there's no tomorrow. The next time The Wiggles come to the area I am going to track them down and kiss each and everyone of them!!!! Freddie tossed his cookies today. That was fun. The only way I can get him to take any meds now is through a bottle. I am frustrated as we had weaned him off the bottle last year (at three). Who knows how long it will get him off it again. But because I have to keep him hydrated I have no choice. Am I the only mother who still has her 4 year old on a sippy cup? The whole regular cup thing escapes Freddie. To him it's something to be poured out onto the table????? Thanks. nna __________________________________________________
Guest guest
, nna, The Wiggles are great. My 10 yr old son has the Wiggles dolls and movies. The Wiggles were recently on Regis & and they said 13 years ago ,Murray, & Greg were preschool teacher. They do certainly know how to appeal to the kids.Don't worry about the sippy cup still drinks from a sippy cup. I have tried teaching his to use a straw but he has to have a cup with a lid cause he might just decide to through his cup across the room.I need to tonsil out. How long had Freddie been in the hospital? Were there any complications? Did the Docs look at his ears while he was asleep? I know this is a common practice. You just have to do what works. I can't remember how old Ray was when we finally got him off the bottle but it was late. In fact the ped said he needed to come off when we adopted him at 15 months and it took probably a year. Then he got sick at 3 and they put him right back on it. Ray is 22 years old and I use those Ziploc glasses that they made for a while with a lid and straw hole. I got them by a fluck with those disposal dinnerware Ziploc advertised hard and then quit making. For a while they sold the glasses alone and now we can't get them. They are great because if he knocks the glass over or is bouncing up and down with a drink he doesn't spill it all over. We buy cheap straws from Safeway to go in them. Don't know what I will do when our supply of the glasses wears out since we can't get them anymore. We have tried various water bottles, etc. and these just work best.
