Guest guest
Hey Cyndi, Glad the bus got there on time but now they've just got to put the peddle to the metal and get that boy to school on time! No accidents though! What the heck is the hold-up? Are there alot of kids they need to pick up? That teacher definatley needs a little talking to - good lord, that's not the best way to handle things. 's bus driver is on double secret probation with me too, I'm just not too sure I like her - we haven't really " hit " it off, tough first day. So now, just because it's easier, I'm picking he and Emma up afterschool - it also helps me communicate with his teacher and aide better. I like to stay connected anyway I can. We had a nice vacation - crammed tons of things in in a short amount of time. The weather felt wonderful, it actually was 45 degrees one night! Brrr. A little tough to come back to this humidity and heat after experiencing fall up north. We did have one scare well we were there. We were at our friends house, they live on a farm with Horses, chickens, etc... just loves it there - refuses to leave the barn. One night the kids were all playing upstairs and I was sitting at the kitchen table chatting with my girlfriend, hubby and her hubby were out visiting other friends. There's only two doors out of the house, one in the kitchen and the the front door was right in my line of site. Suddenly, the mommy alarm went off, and I yelled upstairs to see if was up there. - " NO! " I look all over the house, my husband has now returned and I've announced is missing. It's dark, they have a pool, a road, a barn, huge windows on the second floor that are open with screens on them.... I race to the pool, runs to the barn with the Mom who lives there (who just happens to be a special education teacher), I hear them say they've got him before I've even gotten to the pool. Mind you it's turned dark so it's pitch black out - we're in the country. There aren't any lights on in the barn. They heard him crying softly and saying " ma ma " Jill turns on the light and still can barely see but finds him in a horse stall, laying on the floor in between two horses who are eating! He's gone out to the barn in his socks, it's been raining, he goes into the fenced in area that the back of the horses stalls are connected too. He's crawled through the fence, through the manure, and made his way into the stall. But he couldn't get out because it turned dark and the door to the stall was locked. He'd have had to go back the way he came. Well, I took him from Jill who was carrying him and stripped him right in the kitchen - not a single mark on him - can you believe that? I don't know if horses are that smart that they would recognize his scent and just know not to step on him? I think it just may have been good luck for us or divine intervention. These were huge horses too. What a scare though. That was where I aged 10 years just in one night! So that was definately the scariest part of our vacation. Aren't you glad you asked????!!! Take care, Jayne wrote: Yipee!! Jayne, the bus got here at 8:05 and he got to school at 9:10 still late but only 5 minutes. Now if I can get the nosey teacher to mind her own bus. I will be happy. Did you have a good vacation? What about pictures? How is 's school year going?Cyndi --------------------------------- Yahoo! for Good Click here to donate to the Hurricane Katrina relief effort. Guest guest
Jayne, Oh my Gosh I know you were terrified. Something similar happened to me.I had the screen door open and my friend and I were talking and my mommy alert said " Where's it 's too quiet. He opened the screen door without me knowing and was gone in a matter of a few minutes out the back door. We live on a busy subdivision street, we have lakes, and woods. I know exactly how you felt.My heart pounded and every bad thought went through my head. I called the police frantic and as I told them, we have woods and lakes, I thought to myself I know they think I have killed my child and put him in the lake. I was scared for and for me.It took about 15 minutes to find him standing in my neighbor right next doors driveway. No one some him on this beautiful afternoon only wearing a pull up and barefoot. Children were out playing and no one saw him. While I was on the phone with the police my friends teenage son found him in that driveway. The dispatcher asked if I was going to be okay and I said, I am not sure. I may still have a heart attack. OH Jayne I am so sorry this happened to you and especially on vacation.Someone from above must have been looking out for , I shutter when I think what could have happened.Maybe we need to get a Martha ankel bracelet for our kindos. You know the kind she wore on house arrest with a homing device.I saw someting similar at Walmart and considered it after what happened to .I am so glad you had a happy ending. No I can't believe he didn't have a mark that was devine intervention and I am glad. You certainly have enough to deal with without any other disabilities. I am hoping that the teacher won't be on 's bus, because today she was not. I hope I find out tommorrow. Did you get a chance to find out about the Home Based Community Waiver or Medicaid?
