, The therapist said we would work on replacing bad behaviors

with gone ones. Like the playdoh they will give him something to

feel in his hands that gives the same sensation. It's all gross to

me just thinking about it. He once did this while we were eating at

a resturant. You most definately have to take a shower yourself after

dealing with this. I am glad to hear you had success with him

stopping this. Your help is much appreciated Cyndi

Donna, Thanks for the words of encouragement that eventually all

this will stop. When you wake up in the morning have to be somewhere

like an appointment and find your child covered in feces I feel like

having a mental breakdown. And although it doesn't help the

situation at the moment of the mess, just knowing I am not along

does help. I would not wish this life on my worst enemy. Have a

great Day. Cyndi

i think target and jc pennies has big sleepers, i stopped getting them when

he was around 11-12, becasue he didnt need them anymore, he started going to

the bathroom himself betwwen 9 and 10yrs of age, but i thank this to the

miralax. and he was a big boy too, he didnt slim up until the last couple

years, he just sprouted upwards fora change, lol. Dopnt get me wrong, nathan

had it everywhere too, and it took lots of patience and hand over hand , and

persistance on our part to get him the way he is now. I know other parents

have done this on this list too. It takes awhile but it does eventually sink

in. Nahtna still needs help with wiping himself, we use baby wipes, he is

getting a little better, but i dont always know when he is going if im

downsatirs doing laundry ect, and find out when the toilet is full, he isnt

a great flusher yet either. All our kids differ a little here and there, you

will figure out something im sure. shawna

Cyndi, thank you so very much, I just knew you could help!!! well,

this is so up in the air cause I am really trying to talk my husband

into talking to some of his air guard buddies in Louisville cause I

am so afraid to be moving to another place where I am just not as

sure of.(they are not letting us know what or when all this will

happen) We lived in Versailles Ky, close to Lexington where my big

kids live. so you can see why I am interested in this area, you have

set my mind at ease that I can tell my husband that this area would

be good for . do you like the schools your other kidos are in?

anyway, I have a step daughter getting married Nov. 4 at the

Sealbach Hotel,(she works there) a little too fancy for me, this

country girl, but she really loves Louisville, thanks again Cyndi, I

just pray that your son will continue doing well, and it is so good

to hear you, his mom, making things right for him. is also

non verbal except pizza and stoppit!! funny huh? but he is

definitely lower functioning and very huge sensory problems, this

school sounds great! take care, Dawn

Dawn, The day after I sent you the email I was told at school you

had already called. Churchill Park is a great school because

everyone is on the same page and the teachers just get it.My

daughter goes to a christian school and so I am not a good judge of

public schools other than Churchill Park.My family is made up of

school teachers that teach in the public schools. If I had to send my

daughter anywhere in the US to a public school I would makes sure

the school was a Traditional school such as Audubon for elementary

or JCTMS for Middle to High School. Why? Because these schools have

rules for keeping the children in line and the parents have to agree

to the penalties of misconduct. Let me know if you need any other

help with Louisville and I will be glad to assit. Is Churchill Park

mailing you info and a brochure about the school? Cyndi
