Guest guest
Sounds too cute with our sons with similar issues. Who would of thought that there would of been other or 's, etc. and all because Joan shared about her son which was a Godsend for leading this path. Flights look good heading out towards Nash. since we travel on standby, should I decide to head out that way it'll be this coming Sat. and it'll be a rush rush with me right after the workshop and a rush in and out, out there, too. I would cancel it but then I'm on another mission getting this Ph.D. and my Certified/License ABA Therapist together so that maybe something could be worked around due to the health insurances denying services as the health insurance are reporting that ABA is only an experimental treatment due to reading up reviews of the Lovass and has not been educated on non-aversive behavior modifications which is the Skinner's, Sundberg & Partington,etc.analysis's. Still under the ABA Umbrella. We we're told by our health insurance that they would approve it but now with the epidemic of the Autism growth the cost is growing and now many health insurance are finding ways to deny it. Most think that it has to be dealt like a Mental institution type (Behavioral Health). I know I'm wording this wrong as always, so don't quote me. There are always loop holes to battle this even if I have not gone this route just yet with our health insurance but might have to soon. Many who have confronted me before are now having some issues once again with the same health insurance as mine of what has been going on today. I just want to be prepared as the Fiscal year of the state funds ends within this coming up month for until re-applying for the next fiscal year which is in Aug.. Anything is worth a trial to help the health insurance get educated and of course the state so that our Legislative could be on top of this. This is crossing my path for what has helped so I have to battle this. If this comes to a halt taking to the ABA clinic I at least could follow it at home which has helped tremendously where he will not regress like this past winter. He was really progressing very well vocalizing loud and clear 2 to 3 words in a sentence and when ABA came to a halt, now he just grunts and I missed those days. So this is the area I'm focusing on with the communication goals for his wants and needs met. Today he needed alot of verbal & physical prompting, slow mode, eh! I contacted another AU support group this morning that I attend so that I could ask the President if 's name could be added on a list of some supplements that they are going to be trying out and will be providing funds for it and she immediately had recognized my voice and left me stunned as she ended telling me that they had included on the list and not to worry as they were just approved for some funds for ABA and the supplements that 's DAN doc has recommended. Another Blessing 's way, its just wonderful how everyone looks after my . I did not ask her if this was for Home Based or clinic wise, won't know until the 22nd. I'm excited but all this kicking in 2 days has been overwhelming with lots of info going on. Sorry ended up getting thrown off. Let me know if Sunday is alright and email me privately with more info and likewise. My dh is contacting his sis as I write this and she is all excited if it all works out. Hey, any news on the storm going out that way? I have not had time to sit down to watch the weather station or TV at all. Too busy writing up a shopping list on what I need to purchase for 's strict diet and supplements. An update on 's office visit. This doc is totally awesome! was of course a gentleman, well behaved and everyone loved his stimmy dinosaur that he carries. Test results from his CT cheat/Abdomen & Pelvis w/Cntr all findings came out normal. CT of the Sinuses, No significant sinus disease, all clear. IgA J-Chain one that connects very weak where this is one of the culprit that stirs up his low & high-grade fever. Easily immune on catching anyone's cold or cough bacteria/virus infection. Yuck! Can you believe that? Thyroid stimulating hormone, good. No CD, but allergen results are towards Egg white and Milk, which are his IgE results of out of range. has normal kidney and liver function, normal glucose. Previous appt. with 's DAN doc (Kempf) on the 10th of May with stool, urine & Lab analysis her recommendation line of supplements which I had shown this to his previous (Hematologist/Oncologist)doc (Patel) and he was so impressed of how much I was on the right track that he kept " telling me you're doing good mom " as he was explaining to the nitty gritty. Felt like I was in a science class, which was one of my favorites back in those school days, enjoyed it very much or should I say got my money's worth of wealth of info, answers and timewise. Then he told me that he had done his own research with some of the local drug stores supplements to see which one was effective which help cost wise and easy to purchase and where to purchase them. Awesome! The ugly part is here we do not have many Health Stores that carry the strict diet stuff. I've already visit one store and purchase some items and I'll be visiting another one hopefully this coming Fri. after 's visit with one of my Chiro. friends who said he'll work with again as I feel I have to try this again. The adjustments help calm his nervous system. We have just begun starting one of the supplements yesterday and he took it very well, probiotics. This is beneficial for the gut, Acidophilus is the most abudant one. My son Rick and I are also taking it too and jotting a journal. The other supplements recommended are: Fish Oil Aspartic acid Zinc Magnesium B6 Folic Acid B12 One new thing at a time so that I could tell if he has had a bad reaction to something. Then doc Patel would like to see within 3 mos. so we are going to hold on to 2 other supplements which are Argenine and the Digestive enzymes for now. Doc Patel told me reason why has sleep and teeth grinding issues are due to unable to communicate having lots of discomfort like bloatness, acid reflux, GI issues, ab pain, constipation, etc. Many medical physicians who was seen in the past are still oblivious to the role of food intolerance plays in causing behavioral problems. Once again, Thank God that I have finally found some docs that are open-minded and have recognized the value of looking at food intolerance being the culprit of many problems well at least for 's issues. So we shall see. Irma,16,DS/ASD
