Just returned from a two week trip to Wyoming to visit family and had a stack of mail to plow through! (19 w/ ds/a ) did great. I learned a few years ago to make a PECS story about upcoming events and that really helps him anticipate changes in his routine. He also likes his calendar on the fridge that I try to make every month. It also helped to let him bring his red sock that he dangles and relatives were very accomodating to let him listen to the radio and his country music. > I agree that we should let our kids enjoy their obsessions/passions. We have all (except my dh) learned to enjoy country music by default! When things get rough my girls and I will sing along to all the drinking songs! > Terry, welcome! We live in Madison AL just outside of Huntsville, so if ya'll need a place to land when you need to outrun a hurricane, our door is open. > By all means we should open our mouths when our suspicions are raised. It wasn't until a teacher had me fill out a profile on that I got the courage to pursue what I already had suspected for years but had been poo-pooed by doctors. > Thoughts and prayers for all, > Meredith, mom to 19 ds/a, 18-recent high school graduate, 15-new driving permit owner, and 13 our resident tornado, and Sally the dog. > > > --------------------------------- > Start your day with Yahoo! - make it your home page > >
