Hi ,

I am ready and I am pretty sure I could round up a few others. I

suppose we would need to find out exactly where his office is... Probably ,

just in the state buildings. We could carpool it to Albany. There are

plenty of Lymies up in that area too. I would think , on a short notice, the

turnout would not bew a s good as NYC, but How many do we need to make a

statement??? Any plans for another rally in NYC or do we move elsewhere?

Any other ideas? Anyone else?

Jeannine,

Disability payments vary with the very maximum being about 1,300 a

month. However, the government has hit on a plan for saving much of

this money. THey have found it more cost effective to turn us all down.

If they succeed in getting all our docs out of business, they will have

proved there is no chronic Lyme disease, and therefore no more need for

Disability payments. I am dead serious. Their solution to the expense

of Disability payments will be very simple.

Jeannine,

The cost to insurers is not really a motivating factor either, since

they pass it on to the consumers. Insurance companies give much more to

politicians' campaigns than does the average consumer, so their bottom

line is really all that counts. Am I sounding a bit cynical?

Jeannine,

Now on a more positive note.... If you want to come to NY to lobby that

would be great. You are an outstanding spokesperson (although maybe you

should leave the costume home.) Anyone else let me know by e-mail if

you are interested in helping New Yorkers visit their elected officials

to discuss the situation with them. If I can coordinate people via

e-mail, I will do it.

Ellen.

Hey listen

this is a critical situation and we need to act fast. I'll do both, albany &

nyc again. but we have to know if anyone will attend, and if so how many

people can commit to showing up. If we do decide to protest .. we have to do

it this week. Next week may be too late. Whos in for NYC again and whos in

for ALBANY? I think Pataki's office is our best bet and we should bring our

children with us !!!

Hi ,

My seven-year-old autistic son, ny, had to go into hospital last

weekend to have a piece of glass removed from his foot last weekend. He was

given a general anesthetic, and took it very well. Afterwards, he was sick

(vomiting, I mean) for a few hours, but that soon stooped, and he's fine

now.

Hope that helps. Let me know if you want any more information.

Best wishes,

Adam Feinstein

Lana,

After carefully considering your meds, I agree with the others that it

sounds low for OCD, but it has a component of bi-polar which has different

concerns. My only question is: with the OCD not being medicated in

therapuetic levels, how does anyone know whether this is truly bipolar, and

not just OCD rage and obsessions?

Otherwise, no, it is not a lot ...

Lana:

I have two friends with bipolar children. All 3 kids are on many

different meds. I suggest that you sign on to a bipolar list where

you can talk with parents of kids with bipolar disorder. I think you

will find that Park is not being overmedicated. The really important

thing is to find someone experienced in treating BPD. Was it you I

gave the email of my friend? Please share your concern about the meds

with the doc at your appointment. I think we often fall into the trap

of trying to out guess the docs. Lord knows I have played around with

them myself. I have found honesty to be the best policy when

questioning the med issue with my son's pdoc.

Hi, Everyone,

<<<I just discovered the following web page which discusses a connection

between root canals and systemic illnesses including arthritis:

http://rheumatic.org/teeth.htm

I thought this was very interesting, so I have created a poll to find

out how many of us have had one or more root canal therapies:

/surveys?id=630623>>>

, I had arthritis since my teens (granted only aches and stiffness, no

joint swelling yet) well before any root canal. So, although I voted 'yes'

on the poll, the question really should be on timing...

Good idea, though! I've been reading about this and the mercury fillings

that some people are apparently sensitive to.

Sorry, I'm having trouble getting into the poll. However, I wanted to

respond. I have had several root canals. I have always had trouble with my

teeth. I will be anxious to hear the results.

<Stachybotrys is not really anything new to scientists. But most of the work so far has been in the realm of veterinary science. Much less is known about its effects on humans, said Kay Soper, an indoor air quality specialist at the Texas Department of Health. "The studies that have been done have dealt more with farm animals and agricultural settings, with moldy hay and grain, and a lot of it has been more on ingestion of these kind of things," Soper said.>

when i first found out about my 11 years of exposure at close range to over 35 million cfu's of stachybotrys (along with aspergillus and penicillium), i thought, "surely some scientist will need me in a study." that was five years ago. although there has been no dearth of effort on my part to contact experts, no one has ever asked me to serve as a test case in a study. i understand the reason: animals and hay produce profits, but sick human beings don't. greed is contaminating this world more than any deadly toxin.

  • 1 year later...

Did my upper body workout on Monday night afterall. I did them at night and

then when I was trying to get asleep got chestpains. Guess I overdid it

(this happened last year when I started BFL but didn't finish). The pains

didn't last long at all but still scary. I think I'll do less weights next

time and slowly work into the chest exercises. I wasn't sore yesterday, but

I did hit the " throw up zone " and was shakey and aching when I was done, so

I must have done some good.

There is a free climbing wall near me. I think I'll start going there on

Thursdays. I know the last time I did it my upper body ached for a week!

Didn't do the lower body workout yesterday because of an emergency telephone

call from a friend who had to take her son to the hospital.

Blew the diet today, but will start anew tomorrow.

I bought some of the Boca burgers. They are all right, but let me tell you

the spicy chicken boca is excellent!! you can't even tell it's soy and not

any chicken. SO good. I also found a candybar called Pure Delight. I tried

the dark chocolate bar. It's for those on lowcarb diets. It has less

calories than a Hershey bar. It tastes great but the after taste is another

story. It contains Cocoal mass and two other ingredients. It doesn't

contain any sugar whatsover. The second ingredient I didn't recognize so I

want to do some research on that this weekend.

Unfortunately I LOVE to cook, especially bake. I won a gourmet cookbook

from a home show I attended. It came via UPS yesterday. Oh how I want to

try some of the baked goods. I think I'll make a few on a Saturday and bring

them to church on Sunday. That way, I'll have the satisfaction of having one

piece and then sharing it with others. The book did have a great sounding

granola recipe and a chicken sausage patty with apple and sage recipe. If

anyone is interested, I'll share them with you. The patty one has 82

calories and 2 grams of fat. no sugar added. The granola has 2 tablespoons

of honey for the sweetness but the calorie content is not listed.

Have a great week everyone. Sorry this post is SO long.

I'm not sure of the rules of posting web addresses here so I won't say who I

buy from, but if you do a search for shea butter and essential oils you

should find plenty of places to buy it from. You can make your own shea

butter products, but I don't believe (correct me if I'm wrong) you can make

your own shea butter.
