Gareth never indicated any sort of pain till his right hip socket was almost gone.....that lack of pain, compliments of the autism. nna...welcome, too. I don't remember how long ago you joined. I must have missed it or forgot it.....probably forgot!!! I love the running stories and the 'flop and drops' ......like I said, a ride down memory lane!!! Take care, Everyone. Guest guest
Tori has a funky gait to her walk as well. Her right leg just seems off. I have had her evaled and they say all is ok. I, too, was worried because of the hip displasia and the fact that mom has such great joints! Guest guest
Margaret, I have been following along the DS/Autism yahoo group for about four months. My son has always had some odd behaviors. I started researching when I became friends with a couple of mothers of autistic kids. I came across this group during my research and have been peeking in since. The school psychologist says Freddie is not autistic. Not too sure she really is educated on the possibility of the dual diagnoses. My research has reveled more than she was able to give me. Sadly, I think she just referred to her psychology books as she copied some pages from “the book” for me to read. She also was a little too distracted during our conference and never asked to meet or evaluate my son in person. She based her opinion on teacher reports and my recounting of his “odd behaviors” Waiting on a second opinion. nna mother to Freddie (4yrs-DS/waiting on evaluation) mfroof@... wrote:<<Jayne Mom to the possibly the fastest 6 year old I know who has a not typical gait when he runs anyway - how'd he get so fast?????????
