Guest guest
- I just heard about this from a mom who had her son at the ped office. The mom took her child out of the docs office (never to return). They inject something that contains thimersol under the skin and wait for a reaction. OMG - of course you are going to react -- duh, a neurotoxin. I would think a normal person would experience some eczema-like rash.RoxSubject: Dumb questionTo: EOHarm Date: Sunday, October 26, 2008, 9:41 PM I got a notice from the school that they are doing TB tests on all of the kids. What toxins are in the stuff they inject under your skin? I'm going to tell them if you touch my kid.....I will take you out! (Okay, well, I'll be a bit more professional. ) Seriously -- why would they do this?? I don't understand.

Guest guest
---I dont think there is any thimerosal in it. I had to be TB tested a couple years ago for an internship. I git the package insert to view [at first I was told thet did not have it on site so I politely told them they were not in compliance with the law] I did not see thimerosal listed outherwise I would have told them to shove it. Now would I let my child get this? Hell no. Since there is plenty of evidence that vaccine components may cause harm to certain folks and the powers that be are hell bent on trying to ignore the huge elephant in the room I can not in good conscience allow them to give anything to my child. They have been asked numerous times for studies prooving safety of thier products and fail to comply. If they had such safety studies they would be waving them all over.Which tells me they have no studies.......Purely anectotal safety, which is not acceptable to me. Guest guest
I get an initial horrible reaction from the " shot " itself. In 24 it is gone, so no TB, but the first day I usually have a rash that takes up my whole arm... Last time that I had to have it done for work, I told them about this, and they used a different kind... no reaction... I should look into what the big difference is.Definitely deny the school permission to do it. Unless there is a TB outbreak there is no reason for the school to do it. That is something you should arrange thru your ped. - I just heard about this from a mom who had her son at the ped office. The mom took her child out of the docs office (never to return). Guest guest
I don't know but keep your child home that day-or that week. I'm sure you've read all the 'syringe happy school' stories by now....parental consent or not. " whoops " is not something you want to hear after the damage has been done. > > I got a notice from the school that they are doing TB tests on all of > the kids. > > What toxins are in the stuff they inject under your skin? Guest guest
Heard back from the school and they are testing TEACHERS not STUDENTS, but that was not clear in the newsletter. It just said " Upcoming Events -- TB Testing " and I assumed it was for the students. Thanks for the help anyway, at least now I know never to allow them to have a test. > > Thank you SO MUCH for telling me this. > > Over my dead body..... > > >
Guest guest
I'm not sure about toxins but I do know that people who have had the TB test year after year can turn up with a false postive. This of course leads to a very long course of very toxic antibiotics. This is the only reason I know of to refuse the TB under the skin test. They are actually injecting a very small amount of TB under the skin to see if you react. I did some research on this years ago, I refused to have the test for work as a result of what I found. Even some of our nurses refused to have it done when they found out. Guest guest
I used to work in our county home health field. Does someone the children are in contact with at the school have TB? That would be my guess. > >> > I got a notice from the school that they are doing TB tests on all of> > the kids. > > > > What toxins are in the stuff they inject under your skin? Guest guest
I traveled extensively overseas and was exposed to TB. When I moved to MO I went to work in a local daycare and I needed a TB test. When they read it as negative I KNEW something was not right. (My father is physician and I have had many, many, TB tests due to my traveling) I called my father who was at the time practicing in the Middle East and explained what I saw. Red, raised, size of dime or larger, etc. He said that was positive test and to never return to that hospital. I had to undergo 9 months of meds which made me horribly sick but I was also told that I could never have another TB skin test. I would always have to have a chest xray. I only say this because I was exposed and I was told never to have another skin test- it would always read positive. Guest guest
I had to have a test as a child because our parish priest tested positive. I had just received my First Communion from him. So I can never have another as well???Subject: RE: Re: Dumb questionTo: EOHarm Date: Monday, October 27, 2008, 4:50 PM I traveled extensively overseas and was exposed to TB.
