ABA for toilet training question

Hello,

I posted a while back that we started putting on the potty

chair, usually once in the morning, and once in the evening. She

often pees, and a few days ago, even did a " Number 2 " .

We started reading the book " A Work In Progress " (ABA), and in the

chapter on toilet training, it says that its NOT recommended to use a

special potty chair, and that the goal is to wait until the child is

ready to use a regular toilet (although a seat that fits on one is OK).

isn't quite 4 years old yet, and isn't walking independently

(although she will walk if we hold one hand). So it's hard to know

when she'll be " ready " for toilet training.

What are your thoughts on toilet training? Should we stop putting

on the potty chair, and wait until she's ready, or have you

found success with your children by starting early on a potty chair?

Thanks,

Dave Popejoy
