I wonder this too. This would not be acceptable for other disabilities...why for our kids? They struggle everyday...just because they are beautiful typical LOOKING people. Our kids have so many medical issues but because you can't see them on the outside I guess people are allowed to make fun of them....why is this okay? Same thing with insurance our kids are discriminated against. I have said this for years...you would not look at somebody in a wheelchair and say "get up and run" but for our kids they are supposed to be able to control their body, their behaviors, their sensory issues...this is part of their disability. When will people get this? Very Frustrating...Keela

I JUST CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE! Why is it ok to ridicule OUR kids and their REAl DISORDERS? Would they get away with making fun of Cerebral Palsey children or Down Syndrome kids? Why ours? I have a 9 year old daughter with moderate to severe autism, non-verbal and sensory impairment. Hardly a case of us wanting a high acheiving scholar or star athelete but we just can't handle not having that so we made up a disorder to rationalize it away. I need a few shots of Jack s and a Valium right now and sleep this one off. Thanks Mr. Leary, you will be the straw that turns me into and alcoholic drug addict!Tina>> From the NY Post:> > October 15, 2008 -- > > Denis Leary should brace himself for hate mail from the parents of

I'd be careful about going into that area. Autism is not apart of

Sharpton or 's agenda and probrably would not make any sense

for them to get involved. I personally do not look at either of those

men as rasist, they just have a very different view then I do and

I'll leave it at that.
